We're thinking of upgrading my wedding ring (I posted the reasons behind that on another thread, but long story short, my original engagement ring was accidentally thrown out by my husband and the replacement bounced down a hole in the floorboard of an old building...anyhoo...). I've looked at a lot of traditional styles -- mostly halo rings and eternity bands -- but this is the one that has caught my eye, with some modifications -- a diamond as center stone with perhaps small pink diamonds or sapphires on the side. I like its "clean" contemporary look and this will act as both engagement and wedding ring. What do you think? If I don't get a new wedding ring made in this style, I might get this specific ring anyway and wear it on my right hand, love the color of the center stone!simply jonathan1.PNG simply jonathan2.PNG

I think it is gorgeous! It stands out because of its simplicity and elegance. The design is great for showing off the center stone. The halo setting, while pretty, is overdone. This ring is unique and will stand the test of time. Where did you find this ring, if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks! I found it at Earthenworks Gallery, one of my favorite small galleries in the Pacific Northwest. The brand is "simply Jonathan"

I had this ring...Steven Kretchmer. 3 ct pear, platinum tension setting. Got a ton of compliments!

Oh, I like his work, thanks for sending the link! I see a few I like, inc the Omega rings (but I would do yellow or rose gold) and your ring is beautiful too! What a shame, though, I was in Scottsdale just two months ago and didn't stop into his store :hrmm:

Sorry to say he died in a motorcycle accident a few years ago. Supposedly, he has the patent on tension setting rings. I got my ring in 1989 and sold it in 1999 for more then I paid for it. So I can't complain!
Very cool things!
