They do make a large tote that zips... maybe that is worthwhile to look at, pretty sure they even did a larger variation this year.
Yes, it's the Jet Set Top Zip Tote and the larger one has a slot for a tablet.
Since you asked about the Riley and the Gansevoort ,, I do own both and can tell you about them.
If you prefer something that closes at the top, the Riley is great and zips shut! I have the large Riley and it is not heavy at all.and only weighs about 2 lbs??
I also own two Gansevoorts. They are awesome bags and I just love them! The canvas signature bags are lighter, but the all leather version, isn't much heavier. It is a tote with magnetic snap closure , but the bag is so big, nothing ever falls out of that deep well! lol! They weigh about 3 lbs. . What is great about both the Riley and the Gansevoort, is they both have extra outer pockets on them which comes in handy to get at your cell quickly . plus the longer detachable straps.
I really love both of them. Plus they can both be worn cross body, if needed, with the detachable straps. The Jet Set is nice and does zip shut, , but has no longer strap and frankly the Riley and Gansevoort are both much bigger with much more room inside.
You would do well with either the Riley or Gansevoort. The Gansevoort is considerably larger than the Riley.What I like about both is they have 'GIVE' to them and will expand or detract, depending what you are carrying.
