Hi ladies

My hubby bought me a MK Rhea for Christmas in tan. I love the bag! So practical and easy to use but I am not keen on the colour of the leather? It's a bit orangy and lifeless if you know what I mean?

I just wondered if anyone knows how I can add a bit of depth and character to the leather?

Thank you!!

I would take it to your local shoe maker. Many of them do work on designer bags and bring them back to life. They can even dye them. But make sure you call aound first because many don't do them, but there are those that do. I have dyed bags myself, well actually my husband does it for me. He is really good at it. We have only done black or brown bags though. Tan is real tricky.

You could easily turn that into a cognac / luggage color which would definitely make it richer. We use Fieblings leather dye. It is a hard tedious process and I don't recommend doing it yourself, not having had, any experience. My husband is wonderful at it! I wish any of you could see what he has done! He is just amazing, but he's Italian and Italians have had a love affair with Italian leather, so I think it's in his blood! lol! Me, I get more dye in my hair and on the floor, than anywhere else! lol!
. See if your shoe repair guy can do it. for you. That's about your best bet, otherwise, if you're not feeling the love, get another bag! lol!
