I love the colour on the MK website, but the colour for the same bag on Macy's is really dull. I kinda wanted the deep but saturated red on the MK site. Which one is closer to the real thing?

Anyone seen it in store yet?

Yes, I purchased the EW last week at Macy's, will try to take pics for you this week. I love the deep red color.

Oh please do take pics - dying to see this color!!!

loogirl - there is a red in the stores now that is not the Claret - it's almost an orangey red and is quite blah - I wonder if that's the one you saw?? The manager at the MK store saw the Claret and said it's a burgungy red with blue tones - that sounds awesome and I cannot wait to see it!!!!

The one on Macy's says "claret" but it looks more like a brick colour. Like a flat reddish brown. On the Kors website it's a rich deep red, no hint of brown or brick. Want to know which site has the truest representation.

Is the MK site more close to the colour in real life?

Well I haven't seen it yet either - my store won't have it in until the end of the month, but when the manager said it was a burgundy/blue red that certainly isn't the organgy/brick red that you and I have seen. I'm wondering if Macy's isn't using the correct picture.

Let's hope PADLOCKS can post some pics so we can see!! :smile1:

maybe I should just order directly from the kors website itself then...as I assume it is the newest red bag. I just don't like the killing I'm going to take in shipping fees. So frustrating!

On the Macy's site they also have the indigo which looks way washed out and the purple as well as the red one...maybe that's how they look in real life -- way too blah a red for me.

Now I see what you mean - I think they are the same color bag and the photography is just making them look different. I agree - we need to see pics from someone who actually has it. Hopefully someone will post.

I'm also going to try to stop in the MK boutique today -- but my DH will be with me and wonder why I am going in there lol. Hopefully they have it out already -- I'm in Canada so I hope they have the newer red in.

I was flipping through the threads and saw "claret"....I swear I got whiplash haha....have always loved this color....and I do like the style of this bag..always have...I don't have one though..as a matter of fact only shoes, clothes and a watch from MK...

HOWEVER>.the point of this post is...if I had to GUESS.....the color in the Macy's link is a true claret....claret is a brownish-burgundy with a hint of red....

I agree that to get the true color of this bag it would HAVE to be seen IRL....reds are never depicted as exact on stock photos (at least in my exp.)

Of the two colors..I like the bag in the MK link better..hoping someone has/gets this too..now I'm interested!

I saw a claret color wallet at the MK store. It didn't really look like the MK pic or the Macys pic exactly. If I had to pic which one was closer, I would say the Macy pic. It was a dark burgundy or wine color almost. I didn't love it as much as I thought it was, but maybe the bag will look a little better than the wallet. It was almost a dull color. Maybe too much brown in it? I wish I was better at describing colors.

^^ well if that's the case, then lemming killed for sure. I want a deep red, not a brick red. The one in the picture looked like dark, rich, deep red, not brownish. On the MK site, it looked like it had more purplish undertones than brown.

Sigh. the search for a red bag continues.
