Hi ladies! So we just found out we are expecting and I am a few months along but already so excited to shop for this baby! Around here most people carry a vera bradley diaper bag which I have looked at but I really want something that doesn't scream diaper bag. so anyway I was wondering:
Have any of y'all owned the mk diaper bag? Is it functional? or not quite big enough? Which color do you prefer, the white or black?
This will be my first mk bag as I'm really a coach kinda girl. Thank you guys! :-)

Congratulations!!! I have seen the mk diaper bag. It looks NOTHING like the winnie the pooh, sesame street etc garbage i carried when my kiddos were babes. Those bags never lasted with plastic ring strap holders, cheap zippers-plus my husband look like a fool carrying one LOL!! With our youngest who is now 16.5, DH would throw diapers, wipes etc in a blk backpack. He was embarassed by the bag, i swear LOL! My oldest dd wants to use one as a school bookbag. She is a college student and wants something other than the thin strap mk jet set tote. It has a great canvas strap that could take toting heavy books around. You could use it long after you no longer need it as a carryall for the baby too. They are on markdown right now at dillards for $208 I believe. She wants the black one for obvious reasons-STAINS. Congrats again MOMMY!!

Hahaha!! That is hilarious and your poor hubby! Lol I wonder why they thought diaper bags HAD to be Barney Winnie or Sesame Street back then! LOL that's what my husband is already worried about carrying something girly he wants a black back pack also! Lol and thank you!!! I am so excited! I think that's a great idea to use it as a school bag i love that you can't tell it's a baby bag

No. It looks nothing like a diaperbag. Until my dd looked inside, I assumed it was a bigger mk tote bag with a heavy duty strap attached. She is a great kid. She works hard in school and works full time at her job. I'm thinking about surprising her with it. Post a few pics if you do decide to get it.

I agree with Bag lady. The Jet Set tote would be a great multi functional bag. There is another one I always thought would make a great bag for Moms and that is the Mk Gansevoort bag. What this has going for it is the extra compartments. There are 3 outer compartments that you could use for yourself, ie, cell phone, keys, etc. Then you could fit all the diapers, jammies and bottles, easily on the inside with room to spare and there are five compartments on the inside. The bag has a total of eight compartments, which would make it easier to find the babies' binky and some of the smaller things.
.
The bag is also extra large and comes with a cross body strap, so you can be hands free with the baby in your arms. Then when you don't need it as a diaper bag anymore, you can still use it as a purse. There are two outer pockets on each side and one in the back. You can get them in all leather, or in canvas signature material, which would be much lighter than the leather. Here is what it looks like. Note the side pockets and cross body strap. Hope you find just the right one for you and Congratulations!!

And here is a pic I found online so you can get idea of the size of it. Those side pockets are really big and deep. They go into the front and back of the bag and you can tighten them up with the corset straps which keeps Mama looking hot! lol!

Only problem would be your hubby. He is NOT gonna go near that "baby" bag LOL!! You might as well sit him outside of a dressing room in the ladies bra section LOL! It would make a great diaper bag but if you spill milk, butt cream etc.. its ruined.

lol! I didn't see that she wanted one for her husband too? I don't recall my husband EVER carrying the diaper bag! lol! Oh, you were saying they actually have an MK Diaper bag. I haven't seen it yet. So it is versatile for both sexes. Cool! I read your post wrong and thought you had recommended the jet set tote! lol! I was only thinking of her. And yes, her husband would look pretty silly with the Gansevoort! lol! Would perfect for her though.

LOL!! He would look super crazy, especially if he was not holding the baby at the time!! Most women would figure he was just holding his wife's purse. Guy's on the other hand would think it was very strange and stare. Anytime I ask my hubby to hold my purse, even if it's only for seconds, he holds it with 2 fingers like it has a booger on it LOL!!
