Hi, I'm new here and wanted some insight on how MK.com packages their items. I ask because I ordered the Large Portia in pale pink from Zappos and it arrived in a plastic bag but without any paper/tissue stuffing so it was completely folded and dented on one side. I just shipped it back to Zappos today and placed an order for the Large Dillon, also in pale pink, from MK.com since it was on sale. After ordering, I happened to look up the return policy and realized I cannot return since I bought a sale item. My bad for not looking at their return policy before ordering but now I'm worried that the Dillon will arrive in not-so-great shape. I've searched a lot of the threads and couldn't find too many issues but figured I would ask if anyone has ever had issues with the MK.com packaging? Thanks!

Hi @Alliekatt29! That's too bad about your Zappos order, I'm glad you were able to return it. I had bought a small Cynthia on sale from MK.com in February this year. It came stuffed with the paper padding, wrapped in the thin paper, and then had the regular plastic bag around it. The box it came in had a structured nest (for want of a better word) made out of stiff paper that was glued to the bottom of the box. The bag fit snugly in the nest, and was unable to move around very much. My bag was in perfect condition when I arrived, and the overall packaging ensured that the bag made it to me safely.

I bought two monogrammed wallets, one of which was not wrapped very well. It was placed directly in the plastic bag, without the thin paper wrapping around it. However, they were placed in sturdy boxes, and made it to me in perfect condition.

I did buy an antique rose Ava on sale yesterday from MK.com, so I'm also hoping that they took good care in packaging it this time. Please let us know the outcome, and I'd love to see your new bag when it arrives

Thank you @Quartzite! Good to know that MK.com packages well. I would love to show off the new bag but I just got a cancellation email. Guess the bag is OOS even though it showed as in stock when I purchased it. I'm pretty bummed because they are already sold out of the Large Portia in the same color. Guess it wasn't meant to be.

Every bag I've purchased from MK website has come well packaged & in a box. They came stuffed with tissue, foam wrapped handles, hardware, ect. I have always gotten beautifully packaged bags direct from MK.

Thank you! At least I know for next time. This was the first time I've had issues with Zappos and packaging, so I was really surprised.

I've never had issues with packaging from MK - the bags are always stuffed, packed in plastic with styrofoam around the handles, hardware, and straps. There's also tissue paper inside the MK box as well as the protection of the actual shipping box. I know you said your order was cancelled but keep an eye out since the items which are marked down significantly tend to come back in stock sporadically but only for a few fleeting moments before being snatched up again. You could also try a local MK store, I believe they charge $5 for shipping.

And to add on to what everyone else has said: If an item is damaged when it arrives from MK online, it's returnable even if it was purchased on sale. I returned a sale an item purchased online with no problems because it was damaged.

However, this doesn't apply if purchased in-store. Presumably, because you have the opportunity to inspect the item beforehand.

Help! I purchased a boutique bag (ingrid medium in cement) and it was on sale/clearance so there's no return or exchange. I didn't get to inspect my bag in particular since they brought a newly packaged one to me from the back. I am now noticing that the stitching is coming undone on the part that connects the D-rings for the crossbody to attach to. It's double threaded thankfully so there's still one stitching left holding the loop together. But Im afraid that after prolong use that thread will also come apart making my bag virtually useless.

My question is
I know that I can't return or exchange this bag due to the fact that it was on sale/clearance but I'm also aware of the 1 year warranty I have.Has anyone dealt with this before? What can MK do for me? I love this style bag and would love to be able to exchange this bag for a new one since I do have the warranty..... TIA
