MJ versus MBMJ

New and learning, so can someone fill me in or direct me to where I can learn more. I saw some great MBMJ bags at Nordstrom and also some lovely MJ at Neimann Marcus. What is the difference? I know price, but can someone help me understand the philosophy of both lines?

The reference library might be a good resource, but basically the MJ collection line is pricier than the MbMJ line and they differ quite a bit style-wise. There are quite a few of us who love both lines and carry bags from each, too!

Yeah MBMJ are good quality too, the leather can feel smooth like butter!

My view of the two brands is that MJ is the more serious, upscale, classic bags.

MbyMJ has the more playful bags. Some of the bags like the Faridah are pretty classic too, though.

Oi, really. Where does MbMJ belong to then? Both have gorgeous bags though. I recently find out that there is a new store in my town which started sellung MbMJ bags and wallets. I am really looking forward to check them out on weekend!

Oh, interesting. Didn't MJ design for LV previously? I always though Marc himself owned the company, did he start it as a seed company under the LV umbrella?
