Hi everyone,

I purchased a new small Lady Dior My ABCDior bag in December 2023 which I believe is in lambskin. I bought it with a mitzah which they wrapped around the front handle in the store. I left the mitzah on for 3 months until I got some lipstick on it so I took it off to wash it, however when I did I noticed that where the mitzah was wrapped tightly that it has indented the handle... 😢 I know it is not a big issue in life but I am a bit sad about it. Does anyone know how to get creasing or indents out of the lambskin handles by any chance? Thank you.

If you stop using a Twilly on the handles, then the indentations will lighten over time. However, they most likely won't disappear completely.

You can have the handles replaced by Dior for a fee. Otherwise, just always keep a Twilly on it and then you won't see the indentations

As @averageaveragejoefan posted, with use they'll fade. Just make sure if you are tempted to massage the dents away you hands are freshly washed and no hand-cream. If you're patient, they should disappear by themselves. They are light handles, so using twills is a lesser of two evils, it's much easier to get ingrained dirt on light handles than a few light dents.

When I use scarves around a handle, I always take them off once home, then re-tie them again upon next use. It will average the wear on your silks and let the leather 'breath'. With such a light colour, you want the entire bag to age at the same rate. Dirt, oxidation etc, but there is maintenance cost to light bags, I know it's hard but try to enjoy the bag without expecting it to stay perfect. My Dior shoes and bags are mostly mid-colours to black, but I have other white, light beige, ivory and chalk bags and shoes, even ostrich and croc. There will be imperfections, but that's the beauty of a loved bag's life, and storing without using can be worse.

Thank you both so much! They are all very good points. I will continue to store my Lady Dior without a twilly on the handles but I will wrap one on when I use it. I will just leave the creases to fade with time rather than risk doing anything about it for fear of making things worse. I am just very particular with my bags as they are so precious. Thank you!
