Mini Twiggy vs. Town

I have two Firsts that I love dearly, but I have been contemplating going a little bigger for my next Bal. I thought I would most likely go for a Town, but then I discovered the Mini Twiggy! With both styles offering a crossbody option, I am having a hard time deciding which one to choose. And I haven't even thought about color and hardware yet!

Between the First and the Mini Twiggy and the Town, I would say the capacity is in that order from smallest to largest, right? Or does the Mini Twiggy fit more than the Town, due to its larger depth?

Regarding strap length, I believe I read somewhere here that the Town strap length was longer than the Mini Twiggy, but does anyone know the exact difference? I'm 5'3" with a short torso, so I think I'd be okay with the shorter strap of the Mini Twiggy...but I'm still not sure if the Town strap might be too long?

If anyone has both the Mini Twiggy and the Town, I'd love to hear feedback from you on what you like/don't like about both styles and which one you tend to reach for more often and why.

I've looked through all the pics on the Bal reference thread of both styles (although I didn't see as many pics of the Mini Twiggy, probably because it's not as popular as the Town?) and I still can't decide which one I like better. TIA for your feedback! :smile1:

I am curious myself! I have a town but I am looking for a mini twiggy! It looks so cute! But it's not as avaialble as the other styles. I am wondering which strap is longer as well as I'm petite. Am planning on shortening the strap of the town (looping it twice) to suit me better.:smile1:

You're right goldfish19, the mini twiggy isn't as available as the other styles, but I am not in a hurry at all. I think the town strap is longer, just based on mod pics I've seen and posts I've read. How do you like your town? Do you have other styles of B bags and which one is your fave? :smile1:

I have the town and a mini city which I have yet to use. The size of the town is perfect for short errands. My mom has the city but I feel like it can get too heavy with the giant hardware and all. But I love the extra strap length. I'm just a little concerned about the part in the middle that gets worn out (the fold that is created when the city is worn on the shoulder) and over time, it gets very obvious. That's one reason I haven't really thought of getting a city. I am trying to find a mini twiggy too as it's wider/deeper and can probably fit more stuff in.

The Mini City is adorable! I almost bought one in UV a couple of years ago, but decided against it due to the rabbit ears and it was a tad bit too small for an everyday bag. The First is the smallest capacity that I'm comfortable with, at least when it comes to Bal (Chanel is a different story, I prefer their small bags over the larger ones). So you think the Mini Twiggy can fit more stuff than the Town? I think you're right, as I saw a pic of someone posting all the stuff in her Mini Twiggy, it was way more stuff than I ever carry!

Good to know, LOREBUNDE...I also think the Mini Twiggy holds more. I think I love the classic rectangle shape of the First, but I'm liking the capacity and the longer strap length of the Mini Twiggy. I also think the Town is kind of a mix of the classic shape and longer strap. Ideally, I guess I would have all three styles in my closet...eventually! :smile1:

I have/had both a Town and mini twiggy. (sold my Town)
The mini twiggy is deceptively roomy and holds more than a Town. I love my twiggy for running errands, walk in the park etc.
