Mini pochette or cosmetic pouch?

Hi friends! Having a dilemma here and hoped to get people’s opinions..

I’ve heard rumors LV is slowly phasing out canvas..? So I guess I’m a little panicked. Wondering between a mini pochette DE or cosmetic pouch. Currently I have the mini pochette in monogram and I like pouches to carry little things and then throwing it into my bag. Things I currently don’t have in my mini pochette are my hand sanitizer and sunblock and potentially other things..

Should I go for the mini pochette or cosmetic pouch? Please help!

LV is phasing out canvas?! oh no, that is so sad and strange! The canvas is basically what the brand is known for, and the products are so insanely popular. I hope this isn’t true!

Regarding the mini pochette versus cosmetic pouch- get both But if you only want one then it depends how versatile you want the piece to be. In addition to being a makeup case or a catch all, the mini pochette makes a lovely little wristlet or even a little evening purse when you’re out for dinner. The cosmetic pouch can only be used as a makeup case or as a catch all in your handbag.

Thank you everyone! I did decide to go for both, but only purchased the cosmetic pouch so far. Wondering if I'll have any luck in getting the mini pochettes as they're always hard to come by..

And not sure if it's true or not about the canvas! It's what I've read on instagram..hopefully not true! It really is a big part of what LV is known for, part of its history!

Honestly, I find the mini pochette more useful, though it is smaller. I don’t find the shape of the cosmetic pouch particularly practical, yet I love the look. I had the cosmetic in Multicolore, sold it because I never used it, and then pined after it for a couple of years before buying it again. I also had the GM cosmetic in Ebene and I sold it for the same reason, but now I miss it too. Go figure!

Do you have a TP19? I'm considering returning mine and going on the wait list for a MP DE haha, I heard it's a bit too snug for a speedy 25

I've been buying alot of canvas items, (supposedly LV will be putting more focus on leather items) which have been harder to get. I bought the Mono cosmetic GM, and use it like a giant wrist strap. A big plus for cosmetic is the washable lining, which is perfect if you are going to use it to carry liquid items like hand cleaners, etc.

I didn’t really understand what the fuss was about until I bought one…I have recently aquired both! I like the cosmetic pouch in my bigger bags as it has a flat bottom and it stays stable in them. I quite often leave it unzipped and it acts as a compartment for my card holder, phone and key pouch, then if I want to grab them I have a super portable clutch to hold. My MPA is also use daily but it is a catchall of essentials (small perfume, plasters, pills, lip balm, emergency tissue, mini sanitizer etc. etc.) it’s great as it’s light and slim and slips into all bags ensuring I have those items. It does depend on your bag style, I switch from an LV Favourite (new) to a Ribera to what ever next so the MPA fits in even the smallest bag ensuring I have the essentials but the cosmetic pouch so far only gets used in big bags and totes.

I also heard about canvas pieces being discontinued or hard to find. recently I thought I had found an MPA on the LV website, I placed the order and paid but 4 days later LV cancelled and refunded me the money :sad:
