Mini Guccy Bag, leather or canvas? Can I wear it in hot weather?

Hello all!
My first lux bag, which I've received this week, is an adorable mini Guccy bag. Of course, I want to wear it everywhere! But, I also don't want to damage it. I'm actually not sure if it is leather or canvas...Harrods says genuine leather and Gucci says canvas, but gave me a care card for leather. :/ You think I would know the difference, but I'm untrained. Will I do the bag much harm if I wear it out? Going to be a full 10 days of 66-85 degrees F.

That is such a cute piece!!! I’m pretty sure it is leather. The paint does get scruffed easily but I think it adds character

You'll be fine. Don't wear dark colors that can stain by rubbing into the bag. Like black for example.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the responses! I love it so much, but I've been using it a week and it's already got some scratches . Any ideas on how to prevent scratches? Would a waterproofing like apple guard help?
