Mini frivole pendant vs yg guilloche pendant

Hi ladies!
I hope you are all doing great! I have been wanting a new yellow gold necklace and I’m thinking about the mini frivole pendant or the yg guilloche pendant. I don’t have a boutique nearby so I have been searching pictures like crazy here and on instagram but it seems like a tough choice.
Yesterday night, the mini frivole pendant was in stock online so I purchased it. However, I am not sure if I should better go for the guilloche pendant.
On a side note, I am planning on buying the yg frivole earrings in the small size, so what would you think it's the best to buy as a pendant? If I end up going for the guilloche, I would probably wear it with stud earrings. If I keep the frivole pendant then I think given its size it could be worn with the earrings. Any ideas?

I have the Guilloche pendant and I've tried the mini Frivole pendant. The mini Frivole is really mini; essentially the sweet size but in a Frivole version. I don't believe there is a mirrored finish small Frivole - only the pave smalll version, but size small would be more suitable. Mini really is , in my opinion, a layering necklace unless you love micro, fine jewellery.

As for the comparison between Guilloche and mini Frivole, Guilloche is much more impactful even though it is only a single motif pendant. It can hold its own for daily wear (meaning its not too big which may make it unsuitable for some occasions) and not too small (where you can handle even see it from more than 4 feet). You might love the mini size so the only way to say for sure is to wait until you get it.

Do you have stud earrings already? I ask as you have not yet bought the small Frivole earrings, whereas, if you have the studs already that means that you could start wearing your decided "set" as soon as you get the Guilloche pendant. With the mini Frivole, unless you decide you will also wear it with the studs while you wait to purchase the earrings, you won't have your "set". Personally, I think if your heart wants a Frivole collection, then go with a Frivole pendant but ideally, if you can, in size small as I think it is a better, long term size.

Totally agree that the mini is more of a layering piece.
@yubonita my vote would be for the guilloche pendant. Frivole pendant in small size along with the matching Frivole earrings would make an amazing set. I have the pave Frivole pendant in small size and that size is seriously perfection for everyday wear. Mini is too tiny imo.

It is true, a small frivole pendant would be perfect but I don’t think the pavé version suits my casual lifestyle and a gold version doesn’t exist as far as I know in that size. I even thought about getting the 3 flowers frivole cluster but it is so tough to figure out if it would be too much as a daily necklace.

I do have a pair of soleste diamond studs and a simple pair of diamond studs, so if I go for the guilloche I would be able to wear it right away. I am not necessarily set on a full frivole set though. I am fully set in the frivole small earrings but not on the necklace.

The small pavé pendant is gorgeous! I would love to have it but I am not sure it fits my lifestyle. Do you wear it as a daily necklace or just for special occasions? I also fell in love with the pavé ring but every year I try to buy a certain category and the ring category was checked last year. I was originally planning on a necklace, then started deviating towards the earrings and finally I am trying to make a compromise between earrings and necklace.

I just feel that I would get more use out of earrings than a pendant bc where I live is cold most of the year and we get just like 2-3 warm months. So any pendant/necklace won’t be visible under jackets and sweaters.

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I might order as well the guilloche and see which one I like the best. Maybe having both would make my decision easier and then I would just return the one I didn’t like.

That’s a smart idea to buy a certain category of jewelry each year. I try to rotate too to make sets but sometimes I fail, like this year which feels like a ring kinda year for me… yes, I do wear my pave pieces including the Frivole pendant everywhere. I work full time and have teenagers who have me running around in circles around them and their schedule so for me special occasions are next to zilch! Period! So, I wear all my pieces everyday…but back to you, since you are leaning more towards the earrings, I would say go for the Frivole earrings in small. They are perfect! The great thing about VCA is that all their pieces coordinate beautifully together without having to be perfect matches. During fall and winter I tend to gravitate more towards earrings than necklaces so I understand.

Thank you. For me jewelry needs to be worn as often as possible. I don’t want pieces for occasional wear. I want pieces I can use the heck out of, pardon me
I wish I had clicked a solo pic of me yesterday celebrating my daughters birthday in jeggings, sleeveless cotton t-shirt, Nike sneakers plus all my bling - the pave VA earrings, pave Frivole pendant and my perlee arm stack.

Hi! I am debating between the mini frivole pendant vs alhambra guilloche pendant as well. Did you end up keeping your Mini Friovle or switching for the guilloche?
