Oh wow. They are BOTH hard to get and both classics. Keep them both if you can.
Are you more of a dresses kind of girl or pants/ denim kind of girl?
For more dresses, I recommend the Dauphine. It's more feminine.
For more pants, Pochette Metis. It's casual chic.

I could be biased since I already have the PM, but I don't care for the Dauphine as the front of the bag is a little too busy for my personal taste and the bag sort of already looks dated.
Definitely the Pochette Metis. Its my favorite bag, so I am a little biased. Good luck 
Dauphine. I have and love PM but I can’t help worry about the potential what ifs with the bag. The main cause of concern being the front flap isn’t lined underneath which caused cracking after few months or years of use. Mini Dauphine on the other hand I believe is microfiber lined throughout including the flap. I would worry less with cracking canvas. Glazing issues with either is much easier to take care than the cracked canvas problems.
Again I absolutely love both and would recommend PM but if choice is one I would go for Dauphine.

The Daupine looks very retro to me. Reminds me of a clutch my mom handed down to me from the late 70s/early 80s with the square leather trim. I think the PM looks more modern. Both are pretty and I love the reverse print!
I love and have a PM but between the reverse PM and Dauphine, The Dauphine appeals to me more.
I have the PM and love it. I agree with the other poster who said the Dauphine looks dated...it is not as timeless as the PM.
