MINI: Classic vs Top Handle

I have a chance to add a mini to my collection. I keep going back and forth between the mini classic (rectangle) and the mini top handle. What's your preference, and why?

It really depends on which one makes your heart sings! I have both styles.

Classic mini rectangular, the strap is thicker.
Mini handle, the strap is thinner.

Both are cute! The handle gives it a little bit more since you can hand carry it if you don't feel like wearing it crossbody.

I prefer the classic mini especially Bc u can shorten the chain and wear it with the same look as the top handle mini. I don’t like how the too handle looks when worn on the shoulder but classic can be worn any way

I would say if you can only have 1 mini then I suggest to go with classic mini… I only a blk caviar mini and has been thinking of the top handle and I just bought 2 of them tonight

My preference is definitely classic mini, because for the mini size I always wear it cross-body and the top handle is redundant for me personally, and also classic mini resembles the classic flap more lol

I currently have a M/L caviar black CF with a small beige reserved. Paired with different colors coming out, I keep side tracked envy for the top handle mini. I do love the classic look, and I do like the fact the strap can be shortened (inside) with the mini classic. And I never carry my bags by the top handle, so the top handle would be completely an aesthetic function for me.

I also really appreciate the advice that if it's the first mini, I should go with the mini classic!

All these valid points and the poll just strengthened the validity for the mini classic. And perhaps once I build out my collection more, I'll venture out to adding the top handle.

Not at all. I wouldn’t call it bad at all. Everyone has his/her preference. If you like mini with top handle better, go for it.
