The black/flamma mini bucket that I ordered last week just arrived yesterday from Opening Ceremony NY after being delayed with a "train derailment"..the wait was killing me!! So today, I took my new bag out for a bit, only to find that the backside of the bucket has a very distinct line across the lower half....:nogood:

After getting home, I tried to get a better look at it and realized there is some mild streaking in the front as well. Has anyone else had this problem??? I'm not sure what I should do since Opening Ceremony phone orders/special orders/pre-orders are all final--but I'm hoping this could be an exception. I wouldn't consider this part of the bag's "personality":-s It should be considered defective, right?

If anyone can teach me how to rotate my photos as well.. much appreciated.

Back to the main post, that does not look like a new bag... Scratches are to be expected but that looks like their inventory was flooded and your bag was a casualty. But water should turn the bag darker.
At any rate, you should absolutely try to get it exchanged/returned. It wasn't your fault it came like that and that's not a pristine, new looking bag that you paid retail for!

yes, it is considered "defective". I had a bag with the same type of streaking from NAP and they agreed to refund me! get a refund!!

I ordered a brandy/blu a few months ago and when I got it, it had white marks all over it. Like it had been splashed with bleach or something. I debated about it and ultimately returned it because I couldn't handle it. Of course, I was told that was a natural variation of the bag (which it certainly wasn't), but MG agreed to replace the bag even though I didn't buy it from them. I bought it from Merchantile in SF, who just offered me a refund. Try sending pictures to MG. That's what I did.

There are definitely natural variations on these bags, BUT I try to go by the idea that if it's not a bag they would use to represent the style on a website (BG, MG, Barneys, etc) then its condition is not up to par – and they should accept a return.

Letsgo...it probably doesn't help much but I think I might know what the issue is. I have only had my regular black bucket bag for a few days and it now has a similar look on the backside of it. It's 103 degrees here in TX and I've been carrying my bag while wearing cut offs. I think my bare leg is rubbing the bottom of the bag and making the mark. I don't have a problem with it since I did it but would definitely be upset if the bag had come like that.
