I am considering a small cross body bag. I love handles on the bolide and how cute it is but after the US price increase, I feel like it is too expensive for a simple design, maybe it's more worth it to get a bigger size Bolide. The CTG is so functional, the H buckle is quite loud but I just love how carefree and how much it fits being a wallet. I am also a fan of the Chanel WOC so I know this style will work for me.

It's funny you say that about the price - I recently got a mini bolide in December and my husband was saying how it was such a bargain compared to my other purses! I've heard it's one of the harder bags to produce, because of the curved zipper (someone please correct me if I'm wrong), so in that sense, maybe it's worth it for you when you take into account the craftsmanship?

One thing to consider is that the strap on the mini bolide is quite short. I am pretty short myself so it just works for me, but I think if I were any taller, the mini bolide would not work as well for a crossbody bag.

You sound more positive about the C2G from your post, but I wonder if you're talking yourself into the 'lesser' option because (let's face it) straight after a price rise, the same item feels like a slap in the face. Think longterm.

I like a bigger Bolide, but the mini is still a proper bag. No worries with this quiet luxury mini. In fact get different sizes anyway.

The Constance hardware will never be quiet! You'll have to either trumpet 'H' or turn it around.

Thanks for sharing. I am also petite so the Bolide strap would be better for me. Regarding the price, I am just bumped that there are already 2 rounds of price increase since I am interested in this bag. I just didn’t tell my SA since I was focusing on my QB and the prespend.

Yes, I am affected by the price increase. I have seen 2 rounds of price increase in the bolide so it’s hard to swallow lol.
For the CTG, I wasn’t drawn to it until now since I see so many people having it and reviewing it. Also the H became less loud to me the more I see people wearing it lol. But what you said resonates with me, I already own a Bolide 27 and I love how nobody knows it’s a designer bag. Mini bolide is totally a better choice long term, also considering how scratched up the H buckle would get

How much is the CtG cheaper by? I think it also had some hefty price increases in other markets too; in China it went up like 10% in their increase last week. SLGs may have not gone up yet in the US, but I doubt it will be completely spared and it will be coming. Also don’t forget if you are comparing different leathers, something like chevre - which mini bolides come in - is going to be more expensive than Epsom - which CtGs come in - even for the same style. (And as an aside if you do have leather preferences that may also be something to consider. Although both come in Evercolor which is a great leather!)

I have both mini Bolides and CtG, to me hands down mini bolide is much more useful, fits so much more than CtG which at the end of the day is still very much a WOC and not a bag imo. (I do love it though for what I can use it for!)

I think if it has already been two rounds of price increases since you became interested, you will probably always long for one until you get it so maybe it's better to put it on your wishlist before the price goes up again. I'm not sure where you are but I waited over a year for my mini bolide. My SA said they just hadn't received many that fit my (very flexible) requirements. When I got mine, there was a lot of fanfare among the SAs because they hadn't seen any in awhile.

Thanks for sharing. The price difference is around $800 but as you say, depending on the leather.

I think it's rare in my store too, as with any other bags. I will tell my SA I am open to bolide 25 as well to make my wish more flexible so I would like light neutral or pastel colors.

I consider both these options as different in that while size-wise they are similar - they have different functions.
I love my CTG but see it as a wallet that allows a few extra items - casual use and easy to grab n' go; and I often will carry an extra tote when grocery shopping etc. And when I'm too lazy to change wallets, I just tuck in the straps and throw it into whatever larger bag I'm using that day. In terms of the loud "H" - that's the exact reason why I don't want the regular Constance; however, the buckle is a bit smaller on the CTG, which actually looks more appealing to me. Less HELLO and more hi
I had considered the mini Bolide as well but for some reason, the thought of it being a bag means it should carry significantly more items. (But that's just me.) It's such a classic look though, so I can see the struggle in deciding!

Or you could just get both

Good luck! I literally said I didn't have a preference for color, but I didn't want an exotic leather and it still took awhile. It's worth the wait though! It's so adorable and holds more than it looks, and is quickly becoming my favorite bag.

I asked my SA for one and was told basically I couldn’t even put it on my wishlist and probably won’t get one until next year. Which seems crazy to me considering they are being dropped online from time to time

For OP, I’m also considering these two exact items and glad you posted this thread! Leaning towards the mini bolide for me though, bc of the “loud” H factor :D

Yes I think it took me around 1.5 years! I'm not quick enough to catch anything on the website so I don't even check it anymore, but I didn't realize that they've been popping up recently.

I also prefer the discreet, "iykyk" factor of the bolide.

Thanks for all your input. I am inclined towards to mini bolide now. It's rare in my local store especially in neutral so I am prepared for a long wait. I am also going to Japan this year, hopefully I find one at or below retail at the resell stores

Hi there! I don’t have a CTG but have mini bolide and chanel woc. Due to its shape, mini bolide will fit bulkier items like car keys, glasses in a soft pouch, and a small bottle of hand sanitizer,
together with flat items like phone, cardholder etc. I love mine and highly recommend it.
Hope you get yours soon.
