I have fallen in love with this bag, the purple looks TDF. https://www.mulberry.com/us/shop/women/whats-new/mini-zipped-bayswater-amethyst-silky-calf

I have heard that the Small Bayswater can be heavy. However I am interested in the Mini and not in pebbled leather but smooth calf which may make a difference. Can ayone tell me if the bag is heavy to carry on the crook of your arm? Also is the calf leather delicate?

One more as I am new to Mulberry, how often do they have sales?

I have that exact bag in Amethyst and silky calf leather and I don't think it's heavy at all. Kind of on par with the mini Alexa if that's any help. No scratches on the leather on mine yet so I reckon it isn't particularly delicate.

Thank you for the info! What do you think of the color? Does it look as vibrant as in the Mulberry photos? Or if you have a pic to share? I don't typically buy bags I have not seen in person but this one looks so lovely!

The colour in the pic is a bit off; it's darker in real life - very like the photos on Mulberry's site. I'm very happy with it!

I was in John Lewis this afternoon and saw a couple of Amethyst beauties today. If they’d had a style I wanted I may have walked out with a new bag to add to the collection! I have to say I prefer the silky calf. It’s simply stunning.

I also really liked the pale grey :doh:

I've wondered about the silky calf and if it scratched easily. So glad to hear yours hasn't scratched and it's lightweight. I've been admiring the cloud mini zippered bayswater and considering purchasing.
