Okay...it's a bit of an odd, guilty pleasure that I'm going to share.
Among my Balenciagas, numerous LVs, and other designer bags...one bag that I just stay in love with is the bag issued by the US Navy as part of their uniform issue. Pictured are two of the three, with the third one being a brown color. They changed the uniform regulations about 10 or so years ago and no longer issue (or make/sell) these bags that I know of. Am I crazy? They have a sort of Chanel flap bag look to them, and the simplistic design and nature and the way they hang from the shoulder is what I adore about them. Who else was in the Navy and maybe got issued one of these? I'd love to hear/see the story of those purses today.
Does anyone perhaps have any of these bags in the bottom of their closet they would be willing to part with? They were made with both synthetic and real leather, so I would be interested in the real leather in any color.
