Hello all! My 30th is coming up and I'm looking to get an investment piece of jewelry to mark the occasion. I have always dreamed of the Cartier love bracelet in yellow gold no diamonds for Probably the last 10 years plus. DH said I could get it for my birthday but now that it's getting closer I'm thinking about diamond studs for everyday wear instead. I would wear both every day. I love the love but it has become quite popular (2 other moms at my kids school have them whereas when I was younger I never really knew anyone who owned it) that puts me on the fence I suppose. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

Go for the Cartier! Yes, you are paying for the brand but it's a timeless piece that will never go out of style and it's truly special. Also, if it came to the point where you wanted to sell, you'd sell as a Cartier not as a piece of gold jewelry. Lastly, prices for Cartier keep going up so the sooner the better! The diamond studs I'm sure you'd be able to find some later on without "missing out" on them

I bought a pair of diamond studs 5 years ago and have worn them everyday and I still love them. BUT the price of diamond studs are not increasing the way the price of the Love bracelet is increasing so my vote is Love bracelet this year and next birthday, you can get the studs? I just bought my RG Love bracelet last week and I love it, wish I bought it years ago when it was much cheaper.

Definitely get the Love first, because it's pretty much guaranteed to increase in price every year, whereas diamond studs you can get any time. I got my Love (RG rainbow) before diamond studs, and if I had done that the other way around, the bracelet would have been around £600 more.

I'd go for the love because A. As others have said, diamond studs can be chosen at a later date and the price won't have risen as steeply, and B. Bracelets are something YOU see, all day, everyday! Earrings other people see, or you see when you look in a mirror... a fraction of the time you will spend looking at your beautiful bracelet :)

Buy what you truly want. Don't worry about whether 2 other moms at your kid's school have Love bracelets. If I see someone wearing the same piece of jewelry or watch that I'm wearing, I just think to myself..."Damn they have good taste!" ;) Good luck with whatever you decide.
