Hi All -

Warning.. this is going to be a little long, but I appreciate you reading and adding your thoughts/input

I've been going back and forth on what to do for many months, enlisted my hubby's opinion (we all know how that can go sometimes :amuse: ) LOL and still cannot figure out the best way to go to round out my collection. So I am now reaching out to my fellow lovely PFers to get their advice and feedback so I can ultimately make up my decision!

Let me give you some background on me.. I am turning 30 in a couple months (still in denial and can't believe i'm no longer going to be in my twenties :hrmm:) and wanted to celebrate by getting a new handbag. I work in the corporate fashion industry and dress business casual to work (almost always wearing jeans) and like to get a little more dressed up on the weekends. I love fun bright colors - they just make me happy and look great, especially when I am tan! Lately I have also loved using my neutral bags as well since they compliment any outfit and you don't really need to think about if you're matching etc.

Over the years many bags have come and gone based on my lifestyle and needs at the time.

This is what I have sold over the years:
All below were too large for my needs and I never wore them
- Fendi Regular Selleria Peekaboo in Moo (tan) - just sent to consignment
- Prada Large Zip Tote in Turquoise - just sent to consignment
- Hermes Garden Party 36cm in Gold
- Celine Mini Luggage Envelope in Olive Green
- Celine Mini Pebbled Luggage in Camel
- Mulberry Baywater in Fuchsia
- Coach LE Madison Pebbled Pinnacle Lily in Kiwi

Sold because I had other WANTS at the time LOL - I'm sure some can relate ;)
- Hermes 32cm Kelly in Rogue Garrance - sold because I bought this while I was still in college and didn't fit my lifestyle then wish I never sold it!
- LV Sofia Coppola PM in Turquoise - still regret this one as well..
- Celine Micro Luggage in Cobalt and one in Burgundy
- Chanel Cloudy Bundle N/S Tote in Beige
- Balenciaga GGH Black City
- Mulberry Polly Push Lock in Conker
- Mulberry Small Bayswater in Flame
- Mulberry Small Kensington Bag in Poppy Red
- Fendi Magic Bag in Tortuga Calf

Sold numerous other Balenciaga and Coach bags - too many to list!

This is what I currently have in my collection:
- LV Capucines BB in Turquoise
- Hermes Garden Party 30cm in Malachite
- Moreau Paris Mini Bregancon in Beige w. Fuchsia lining
- Celine Nano Luggage in Antarctic Blue
- Chloe Paddington in Chocolate
- Reed Krakoff RK40S Mini in Blue
- Anine Bing Madison Tote in Tan
- Coach Pebbled Rogue 25 in Deep Purple (couldn't resist the Disney collaboration)
- Coach Leather Borough Bag in Olive

I've got a few other Coach leather and Kate Spade bags that my Hubby bought me when we first started dating that I can't part with. They're good rainy day bags. I feel like I may be forgetting a few bags - will update list tonight if I am!

With all of that being said, I am deciding between the following bags to add to my collection. I'm shipping two off to consignment tomorrow, so with the additional funds from those bags depending on which styles I decide to purchase I will be able to buy two bags.

- Hermes 28cm Kelly (fun pop of color dream color is rose pourpre or a great neutral like Etoupe)
- Hermes 30cm Birkin (fun pop of color dream color is rose pourpre or a great neutral like Etoupe)
- Moynat Rejane PM (possible Fuchsia with Gold HW)
- Moynat Gaby BB (Turquoise or Melon?)
- Fendi Mini Selleria Peekaboo (Fuchsia or Poppy Orange with Gold HW)

Well, lets be honest here, if I decide to go with Hermes, I can only get the one bag, but if I decide against Hermes right now, I can get the other two!

I have a picture of me with a mini selleria PB and a Moynat Rejane PM, but you'll need to use your imagination for the other styles.

I'd love to hear your opinions on which bag you think might suit me best and what you'd choose if you were me.

I have a trip to NYC planned for around my birthday where I can make the purchase and if I decide on Hermes, we're taking our first overseas trip next June where I can try my luck to see if i'm able to score a bag at the Mothership!

Thanks to everyone who took the time to read this thread and cast your vote! I really appreciate it as my mind keeps changing like the wind and would love others input based on experience etc :flowers:

Vote for bottom photo, liked post.
Or fuchsia bag, liked post.
You look good wearing 1-handle style. And those colors.

I find h kelly a nightmare to open/close--but many here deal with it. :shrugs:
Congrats on your occasion!

Thanks so much for replying! [emoji177]

You know it’s funny, I was looking at an old spreadsheet I made back in 2013 for a tentative Europe trip with the hubby and I had notes in the shopping section to check out and possibly by a rejane.

Boy how time flies, but 5 years later I’m still lusting over that lovely style. I guess I could say that for most of the bags on my wishlist though [emoji4]

You can possibly get any other bags but chance of getting Kelly 28 or Birkin 30 is pretty thin as a walk-in at NYC boutique. Not that it's impossible. It never hurts to try. I would try the moynat boutique since NYC has nice flagship store that has good stock. I also like the look of the rejane on you. Good luck finding the perfect one!

Yes, very true about B/K bags in Hermes NYC store. If I went the Hermes route, I’d try to get a bag at the Flagship store in Paris.

I agree the Moynat store is absolutely lovely! Can’t wait to go back soon and see all the gorgeous bags

Hi there! What fun this is!!! Haha. I am going through a Moynat phase right now. Love the brand. I have kept my love for H but Moynat is beautifully made and the sales assistants are just amazing in the Moynat boutiques. For you, my vote is for the mini Gaby in melon as you already have some blues in your collection! Either that or the rejane (am waiting for mine!)The mini peekaboo I sold because it was not the easiest to get in and out off.
I really love the lock on the mini Gaby/Gabrielle [emoji7].
Enjoy the process and hope you find the bag you love

I vote for the H Kelly b/c you regret selling the one you had and so know it well, it's a great forever bag and plus you have a GP and prefer that to the Birkin which is heavier and could serve the same purpose.

The M Rejane PM looks great on you and would have had no hesitation on voting for that, however, I'm just anticipating if you buy one you may still be thinking of a Kelly so say get the K (first).

First of all I must say that 30 years old is a wonderful age! It’s a new chapter In your life, so embrace it! [emoji813]️

About the bags, I think the Hermès 30cm Birkin and the Kelly 28cm are both super pretty especially in the colors you chose however I think for the price you could buy 2 bags in another fashion premier house. My favorite throughout the years have been Louis Vuitton, I think the Pochette metis which is quite a hard piece to track down is absolutely gorgeous and can go through day and night depending on the occasion and your outfit. I also think that the lockme or the Palm Springs backpacks are gorgeous as well! The Palm Springs backpack is so special but also hard to get your hands on.

Hi!! Thanks so much for your reply :flowers:

Good to know about the mini PB. I have owned the regular size and didn't have issues since it's larger, but I can see how it would be even more difficult in the mini size to get in and out of.

I've never seen the gaby - still waiting to NYC store to get it it, but I am sure I will love it once I see it.

Is the rejane easy to get in and out of? When I tried it on in the boutique I didn't even open it LOL If I end up going the rejane route, I think I might get the fuchsia with gold HW. It's just so eye catching!

You're totally right - I just need to embrace turning 30 and look forward to all the things to come in my next chapter of life!

I love LV bags as well and appreciate your suggestions. In the end, I've found that I am a pebbled leather kind of girl and as much as I love canvas bags on others, I can't seem to bring myself to get one.
