Michael Kors MICHAEL Michael Kors Desert Shoulder Bag - is the super soft leather durable?

Does anyone have the MICHAEL Michael Kors Desert Shoulder Bag or a MMK bag of similar, ultra soft leather? Is it durable and long lasting, or is it prone to ripping and developing holes easily? I saw a gorgeous one at the Michael Kors Outlet, but noticed that it had a small hole in the front pocket. There were several to choose from, so I can get one without a hole, but was wondering if that was a defect or because the leather will tear easily.

I have the Michael Kors Desert Satchel, is that the same leather? If it is I absolutely love the bag, and the leather is buttery soft. I have had the bag for about 2 years, I do take care of my bags,I don't put it on the floor, I got the tan one my bag looks great just the handles have darkened a bit. Hope that helps.

Yes! The leather is awesome and durable. The bags are well constructed and can last a long time with minimal care.

Thanks for your comments! I passed on the colors the MKK outlet b/c I really wanted it in black. I got lucky and found just one in black (MMK Desert Large Shoulder Tote) at Nordstrom Rack last week. Total score! I thought I would never find it in black. The outlet had gunmetal (shiny, metallic gray), luggage/walnut, khaki, and blush.
