I just realized that the Michael Kors website is selling outlet bags online. I am more than disappointed. I just purchased 2 crossbody bags without knowing they were outlet bags. Why aren't they telling customers??? Now I'm concerned about the Kelli tote I just bought. They've even stopped using the MICHAEL Michael Kors heat stamp inside the retail bags, opting to just heat stamp Michael Kors. Now people think they've got a collection bag when it's just a department store bag. It feels like they're blurring the lines a bit too much. Has anyone else had this issue?

I was so disappointed during this last sale on the MK website. I ended up purchasing 5 Outlet bags because I didn't pay enough attention to the details. I prefer retail and Collection MK bags, but still own a few outlet bags. So, I thought it would be a good idea to post pictures to avoid buying outlet items if you don't want them. I may keep some of the bags I purchased, just because I like the size and color. I'll try to post what I believe are outlet bags at least once a day. They do not tell customers which bags are outlet items. If you didn't buy yours from an actual outlet store then your bags should be fine. If you have a picture of the hardware, inside & tag, I might be able to figure it out. I didn't even imagine they would sell outlet bags on the MK website, totally bummed about that. Five out of six bags I just purchased are outlet bags, you really have to pay attention to catch it!
Outlet bags never have a dust bag included. Sometimes the retail bags don't have a dust bag either though
. The hardware can be different. I bought a Selma from an outlet and a dept. store Selma from Ebay, the outlet bag was missing some hardware details. Most of the time the prices can reveal a lot. The Winnie bags above, there's no way a polyester bag that size could be worth $278. Maybe a really nice leather bag.I bought the Kelli tote thinking I was getting a really great deal, $398 down to $99. There's no lining & the bag is just OK, nothing spectacular. I'm keeping it because I wanted to replace another brand cream colored tote that the handles broke.
The MK Collection bags are never outlet bags. They have special hardware & say they are from the Michael Kors Collection line. They are exceptional bags with exceptional price tags, $4500 to $790 for handbags on the site now.
