Seems like I'm always doing a Coach vs. MK doesn't it??

I need a tote bag in my collection and I kinda think I might end up with Coach this time because of the price. I really do like the Poppy Glam Totes and am thinking of doing a charge hold for this one - it's going to be around $100, and I don't think I'm going to be able to find an MK tote for this price.

I need something more to take with me for shopping and that I can fit an extra sweater and snack in - I'm not looking for an every day bag so contrary to what I normally want - this time I do need a bit of a bigger bag.

I have no idea what the MK US shopping deals are. Do you guys think I could find a comparable MK tote in leather for around $100?

HMMMMMMM I think I have seen totes when I pop in to the MK outlet from time to time when I am out there, and I think I have seen signs for $99......but this was a while ago....maybe you can call an MK outlet in Orlando and ask them if they stock them? You are sooooo funny with the MK vs Coach!!!!! I do the SAME thing!!!! In fact I just bought a new Coach last night!!! LOL You are right....it's fine to love both! and we DO!!!!! :)

I was at TJMaxx last night and I saw a couple of MK grab totes fo $99 and some for $89. I have both the Poppy tote and a grab tote and they are both very practical and useful for shopping.

I am definitely a Coach fan, so I don't normally criticize Coach bags, but I am not a fan of the Poppy line in general. I'd definitely check for a MK alternative before committing to the Glam Tote.

i don't know the name of them, but MK has these nice totes w/ beige straps in various colors. they're usually at my TJ Maxx - my mom just got one in a gunmetal color. it was $120 i think

I like both Totes, the Poppy one and the MK one. I use Totes for the weekends when I am shopping and running errands. I find the tote fits more stuff than a structured handbag. I used my Poppy Tartan App tote this weekend and I still cannot believe how light it was to carry. I had it stuffed with sunnies, make-up case, tissues, phone, bottled water, and some snacks for the movies. Also put a sweater in and it was still light to carry. This is very important to me because I don't like carrying heavy bags.

I like the MK Metalic Tote and I like Poppy for the weekends because they are fun bags to carry. But I think the Poppy would be lighter as far as weight when they are filled up.
Let us know what you decide; and do a reveal. I would love to see what you got.

Hi ladies -thanks for all the input, and as I just mentioned in the Coach thread, I think I have to stop over-thinking this and just go to all the outlets and dept. stores when I get there and see what I can find.

It's going to be so overwhelming for me, you lucky Americans have no idea what it's like up here! I have one full price MK store that charges 25 - 30% more than in the US. I have one Coach boutique -thankfully on par - and the closest Canadian Coach outlet is 6 hours away and I only get there twice a year.

No dept. stores here carry either Coach or MK and we don't have any that carry sales on them. To think that I'm going to have access to Macy's, Dillards, Nordstrom, TJ Maxx, and tons of outlets. . . . . :faint:

Overwhelming to say the least - but TONS OF FUN too!!

I snagged this MK tote up at tj maxx for 100 dollars. I bought it to sell on eBay because I figured it would go pretty quickly. Unfortunately my auction for this purse ends tonight. And it's only at 47 dollars!!! :((((((

But, yeah, I would check TJ maxx, they always have decent deals, and especially right now, they have a lot of their stuff on double clearance, but it is going pretty fast. You may need to buy a Coach bag, they seem to be cheaper for bigger bags... unless you get lucky and find a nice one on eBay. Tonight the auctions should be going pretty low, mainly because it's the second most watched game of the year, so most people will be at football parties. Basically, go take advantage of people like me who didn't think ahead about the day to end their auctions. haha. Good luck!

DDUUHH!!!!! I didn't realize you paid $100, WOW!!! I would die to get that for $100. I better go find the closest TJ Maxx to our hotel in Orlando!!! ;)
