Outlet bags are made for the outlets, you won't see them in department stores like Nordstrom, Macy's, or Dillard's. I can't say if they're lower quality because I don't own one. I'm going to assume that they're lower quality because the higher end Michael Kors are between $358 to $900.

Ok makes sense so can anyone help me decide between the two.
Yeah Euromutt86 is very good/ knowledgeable about MK:) For me I would not buy the outlet coz It's not that much of a difference and the quality and the look of it is not for me...that is just my own opinion. But for starter like you..why not just try and see the difference you might like it or not...and go from there:) good luck! And Welcome to MK world:)

The MK outlet bags are usually similar to the full price versions with slight differences such as different hardware, compartments, lining, colors or sizes. For example, the outlet Hamilton has a nameplate where the full price Hamilton's lock is.

Quality-wise, I would say that the difference depends on which purse it is. I haven't had a good experience with the outlet Sloan because the quality was noticeably worse than my full price Sloan. It was definitely not worth the price difference. However, many people have had a great experience with the outlet Hamilton and prefer it over the full price one. Personally, I would rather wait for the full price versions to go on sale at a department store than get an outlet purse because you don't save that much with the outlet version anyways.

Here's a comparison of my outlet Sloan (in black) vs the full price one (in brown). Note the differences in hardware, lining, and texture. Also, my vote would be for the Devon :smile1:

Yay..I like the way you did the photo...great job and review:)

I went to TJ Maxx to buy an iPad case and I was wearing my N/S Hamilton and I saw an outlet Hamilton there. You can feel the difference. My leather was soft and supple. The outlet one was harder and cheaper feeling. HAHA. Don't know if that explains much.

there are various MK bags that extend further than just Outlet, even Nordstrom and Macys get different bags that are exclusive to them that you wont find in the MK store or on the website which is actually ran by Neiman Marcus. The outlet bags are very different and I was expecting off season bags my first time ever going there but found out that the bags were specifically for the outlet. companies do that to keep a steady profit and to keep sales of certain product lines separately
