Michael Kors Michael Kors Jet Multifunctional Travel bag. Thoughts? Good bag or not?

Hi there,

I was just wondering if anyone has this particular bag and that they use it for work? I would like to make sure that the straps are sturdy enough and the bag itself doesn't weight too much.

I don't personally have the bag but I actually just saw my best friend off (she's headed to visit family in Europe for 4 weeks) and she was using that bag for her carry-on. I know that heavy bags are a problem for her so I would assume it's on the lighter side just because of that. I didn't pick it up or anything so I can't say for sure.

It took me 3 months to find a reasonably priced travel bag that would double as a gym bag, I looked at Lo & Sons, Longchamp and Marc Jacobs diaper bags, but this one was the prettiest and had the best features for the best price. Unfortunately it fell to pieces after a month. The interior pockets' stitching ripped and the liner on the straps (which were saffiano) completely separated. When I took it back to Bloomies to exchange the SA told me she'd seen the same thin happen on the same MK bag you're eyeing, so I just got the Le Pliage instead. I LOVE the bag you're considering, just check reviews to make sure the same problem isn't happening with the straps. (For the record the base saffiano leather on that bag I bought held up beautifully)

Good to know. I was concerned about this bag because of the reviews have been so mixed but really need a good work/travel bag that stands up to wear and tear. Still not 100% sure about it. I'll check out the other labels you wrote and hopefully find one. Thanks for your input, I really appreciate it.
