Michael Hill Lock Ring quality ?

Hello Lovely Adorned Fems,

I purchased this last week and was appalled at the reviews online. This is a company that is not part of the BBB and has zero to one star reviews for the majority of the websites other than their own. I love this ring so I took it to a locally owned jewelry store of someone I trust and has a long standing community trust (several decades long). They said it was of good quality and I shouldn’t have any issues with the ring long term but the reviews certainly state otherwise.

Michael Hill is well known here in Australia. I haven't purchased from them and have no plans to as there are other brands that take my fancy. I can't speak to quality but I wouldn't think they would be bad considering their footprint here.

Enjoy your ring. Don't go reading negative reviews. If you're happy with it, that should be all that matters. Looking at the design, it doesn't look like much could go 'wrong' with it and if someone you trust vouches for it, just enjoy your ring.

If a jeweller you trust said it's okay, and it's made with solid 10K gold, I'm sure it will be fine! Tho in all honesty, $470 seems on the high side for this amount of 10K gold. But if you love the design it's worth it.

I've tried on one of their lab diamond tennis bracelets a few times and was quite impressed for the price. I think all the negative buzz comes from the fact it's a "mall" brand and perhaps people are buying relatively expensive items from them like e-rings and expecting too much.
