Metro vs Soleste Eternity Bands?

Does anyone know the difference between the seemingly identical Metro and Soleste eternity bands? I have a small stack of rings (my wedding band from DeBeers plus 2 Metro eternity bands from Tiffany) and want to add another. Mine are the delicate micropave bands, each aprox 1.5mm wide.

My question is posted here because I'm baffled by the T website. The website no longer seems to carry the Metro eternity band (only the bracelets) but the Soleste eternity bands seem identical. Not enough info is posted to show me if the rings are in fact different (maybe the Soleste is thicker with larger stones?) or maybe the Metro ring was just renamed to Soleste?

Please help me out since returning a non-matching ring would be a PITA

The metro is thinner than the soleste and it’s been discontinued. Pics for your reference. The platinum one I have is the metro. The gold one is soleste. The soleste comes in both full n half diamonds. The metro only full diamonds.

Thank you! Ugg I was so hoping the metro wasn't discontinued... womp womp! Maybe I'll see if my local store has any left. Do you know how long ago they were discontinued?

Hmm... @viewwing are you sure they're discontinued? I just reloaded the T website and the rings still don't show up as for sale, but they are prominently displayed in the banner image on top.

I think maybe that’s an old stock pic? Hmm...all the info I got was when I was At the store. SA said whatever is left is what you can buy, they won’t be replenished. she told me the same with the aria and jazz collection.

The metro has smaller diamonds. It’s also thinner and more delicate overall. I’ve had to replace a diamond once for one of my bands…

The soleste meanwhile is ever so slightly thicker. I also feel like it’s more secure since the beads are a bit bigger.

I bought mine last August, and my sales assoc. had no trouble finding them at that point. So perhaps discontinued recently? I was buying a Legacy eternity band, and wanted two thin bands on either side. I tried all the available options, and the Metro felt like just the right size and scale. Too bad they're discontinued! Pic of my set below. Good luck finding, hopefully some are still available in your size!

Interesting... I was looking at a Jazz ring too so I'll see if my store has that in stock too!

Thanks! I've been wearing mine for many years and only had to replace a diamond once when I had a fall and my rings hit the pavement (shockingly none of my other rings were damaged!) If I weren't trying to match my existing rings I would feel like the soleste is a great choice because of what you said - more metal means typically more secure settings.

Thank you! It was a lot of fun trying virtually all their eternity bands of various widths, and finding the combo my husband and I liked best.

I bet, that sounds fun Did you get married during the pandemic?

My "stack" is attached - you can see the DeBeers eternity band (which I'm pretty was called the Match Band when I got it https://www.vogue.co.uk/article/de-beers-match-bands, might be similar to this current offering https://www.debeers.com/en-us/aura-eternity-band-in-white-gold/R102200.html) is slightly "taller" than the T Metro bands. DeBeers sizes differently so my wedding band is a 56 whereas my Metros are are 7.5 - similar but not identical.

Toying with adding a totally different style to the grouping... but no idea how that'd look! Maybe the Jazz (https://www.tiffany.com/jewelry/rings/tiffany-jazz-band-ring-GRP10140/) or the Petal (https://www.debeers.com/en-us/petal-band-in-rose-gold/R102311.html)

Hi! I purchased a platinum Metro band to wear with my Soleste cushion cut ering in June. My SA didn’t have any trouble locating two different sizes. I love mine however, after wearing it a couple of months, I wish I had purchased the Soleste eternity ring. FYI, the Metro is 1.5 mm and the Soleste is 2 mm and is a thicker band. The stones are bead set I believe. My only issue is that the Metro doesn’t look substantial enough to wear alone. I think the Soleste band would.

You’re welcome. She was able to order a size 6 and a 6.5 to compare sizes and got them in the store in a couple of days. My SA is in the Naples, Florida store.
