Metalasse Lux Top handle Shopper - question?

Hi -

I have recently got a Metalasse Lux Top handle shoppers from Holt's Last Call...

It is dark green in Lamb skin... she's beautiful... It has a gathered/runched handle...
But I noticed the newer Metalasse Lux shopper is bradied....

Do you know which season is this gathered handle??

After some reseraching & asking around, the runched handle small Metalasses shopper is from Fall 2006....

I got the Matelasse bag with the ruched handles in the fall of 07. I purchased one in 08 that has the braided...which I liked the feel of much better.

Ya I agree - the ruched handels can be troublesome... and feel unstable in my hands (too bubbly!)

but I got a great deal for the Matelasse... something gotta give!
