Messenger Scott or Trocadero pm

Hi
My fiance needs a leisure bag.
He is undecided between the Messenger Scott and Trocadero nm Pm in damier graphite.
Does anyone have one of these bags?
Any suggestions?
He carries a few things with him: smartphone, glasses, keys, small umbrella if needed.

Not sure which is which but I like the first one. Not a big fan of the large pouch the strap. Also like how the strap attaches better but it doesn’t look removable if that is a concern.
