Merino Wool or Cotton Cardigans

I'm in the market for a nice high end cardigan. I don't have any cardis in my wardrobe, but would like to add one since they seem easy to pair with most business casual outfits. Thom Browne has both wool and cotton versions at a slightly different price. Curious to know what everyone's thoughts are on cotton vs. merino wool for cardis before I take the plunge.

Both are breathable, but whether you go for cotton or wool, depends on the season you want to wear it. Even lightweight wool will be warmer than cotton. If you can, I would get cotton for warmer weather and wool for cooler.
