Menthol colored dress - what colour shoes, clutch, jewelry?

I have this dress I am wearing to a formal cocktail party. It's silk and colour described as menthol. I guess it's a really light turquoise?

I bought these to match but having 2nd thoughts. I don't know if they are right and I can't find the right clutch to go with

Do you think they will work?
Should I find a gold clutch or a coral one? All I can seem to find (in my budget) are really yellow gold clutches that seem too much for the dress, or BRIGHT orange clutches which I love but seem too much and then don't go with the earrings because they are a softer coral.

Considering these heels:http://www.wittner.com.au/spicer-gold-metallic-leather.html
Or these: http://www.styletread.com.au/tease-pale-gold.html

Am I on the right track or should I start again and go for something else? What would you wear with this dress? What colour scheme?

Help!!!

Earrings - keep

Clutch - try to find a light gold clutch to match the gold of your earrings. I would bring the earrings with me to shop for the clutch to see if the colors match.

Shoes - keep things simple, otherwise you have too much going on. I think the 2nd link is the best. I would stay away from lots of glitter, details, platform, and other embellishments with the shoes. Do you have a pair of NUDE heels?

Overall, I think you should ask yourself what you want your main focus to be and try to use other things to compliment it

Great thank u!!

I only have casual nude sandles. Been holding out for a pair of cl's! So not at the moment. Would you choose pale gold or nude? Should the bag match the shoes? Or doesn't it matter? Matte or patent?

I just don't want to have too much going on - the dress cost loads so I want that to be the focus. So I think you are right with what you've said

Thank you!!

Perfect! :goodpost:

If you want the dress to be the main attention, the earrings are a perfect match. I can see myself wearing this on a vacation in Bahamas or on an island:heart:.

DKNY clutch won't look good with the dress and earrings, imho. If your shoes are metallics, source for a miniaudiere in metallics. Keep it small. No pumps.

Thought this pic might be an inspiration. Ms Shabnam Melwani-Reis. Though she's wearing the opposite color in a form of Kelly Pochette, I think you get the idea. She keep the whole look simple, playing with metallic and diamonds.

I love earrings with that dress. I think if you want the dress to be the main focus you should go for golden clutch and shoes (not glittery). I think that would make a focus on dress and all the accessories would be a compliment. the dress is so beautiful. i think turquoise/menthol and gold are such a nice color combo for formal

Great - thanks for that! Very helpful!

What do you guys think of this clutch from NAP? Not sure if I can get it here to Australia in time but if I can I'm considering it:

Thoughts? To wear with soft gold shoe. I don't have the earrings yet - they are due to arrive sometime this week so just trying to figure out what I should get now!

I don't care for that clutch and it's not a good match with that style of dress.
