Men's Watches

I'm looking to get a watch for my boyfriend's birthday... I'm wondering if any of you guys know what's a good brand? I've looked at Tag and Omega but I think they're out of my budget. I'm looking for spend $500ish. I was looking at watches by Emporio Armani but I'm not sure if they're good or not?

Some things to look for when you buy a watch is whether it is swiss made or has swiss movement (this means it wasn't made in switzerland but its components were.) I used to have an Emporio Armani watch and although it looked cool I believe it was made in China and it was horrible at keeping time. If you want to get the most for your money I would recommend Coach, it should be in your price range and at the very least it has swiss movement. For $1k you could go with Movado or Tag Heuer although although their styles differ greatly so in the end it would be best to pick a style you think he would like.
