I went to the grocery store Friday morning and saw an elderly gentleman there wearing a short-sleeved sports shirt, khakis, and his garrison cap with all his medals on it, and I felt like running up and throwing my arms around him and saying "thank you!" but of course I didn't. He reminded me of my grandfather who fought in WWll and who passed away in the early 90s. Then I thought about how there are probably not too many WWll vets alive any more. We should honor all out veterans, not just on Memorial Day but every day.
