Meet the Logans

The Logans have arrived. Both bags are in very good condition. The LARGE Logan is super soft with no real signs of wear. No scratches or scuffs. The leather is super thin and the inside lining is super thick. The drawstring pull stays in place as the bag is cinched. This large bag is super lightweight and fits nicely on my shoulder. Lovely addition to my collection. I’ll have measurements later in this post… Definately worth $65.

The small Logan is absolutely beautiful. It has a wonderful patina. Has a few scratches but I was able to buff them out with its dustbag. It’s a bit smaller than the whipstitch Florentine drawstring, but NOT small by any means. The leather it thick as Florentine is known for and smells diivine. My iPhone 12 pro max fits in the front zipper pocket. I’m moving into her immediately. Other than the scant scratches this bag is in awesome condition. Even came with registration card and tags. My iPad 11pro sits just under the green suede and the bag cinches nicely. The small Logan is lighter than the whipstitch drawstring. No corner wear on either bag. Extremely happy the small Logan is in my collection. A real steal at $115.

The LARGE Logan just puddles. The leather is amazing. The inside dooney set up is tiny. Very shallow pockets that are short in length and width. It will NOT stand up while empty. A bag this big should have feet on the bottom but it doesn’t. Thank goodness my clipa is on the way. It’s a really nice size and beautiful blue color. It a chameleon color to film. It’s awesome.
Both bags pass the elbow test…. Small Logan is in my lap being petted and sniffed…. Sigh there’s nothing like the smell of Florentine leather ….. hey there’s no green suede on the tassels. alrighty then…..

Thank you. I had fun hunting unicorns. My first trip to the Dooney and Bourke outlet really kicked it off. I’m gonna go back for Black Friday sales and see what’s new in there. Then it just seemed like all these beautiful bags kept popping up, at the right price. I never thought I could get a Tilton. The prices on the second hand market were way beyond my sweet spot. It’s an expensive bag. When I saw they brought it back, and it was included in the Labor Day sale, basically half price, I went for it before it disappeared again. I feel very lucky to have found these bags in fabulous condition.

Congratulations on your Logan family.
I love the twisted strap detail.
I think you will get a lot of use out of the Small Logan,
it's such an easy bag to carry and use, and it's quite roomy
(as you have discovered).

Pockets on older Dooney handbags are often very small....
remember flip phones were the standard back then!
And it you look at other contemporary brands and designer brands,
even today, the interior pockets are few and skimpy.

Thank you! To be honest, I really don’t use the inside slip pockets in most of my dooneys. When I would stick my cheaters, gum, etc in the front slips, they would impede putting things in and getting things out of my bag. It was annoying. My phone would go in the back slip no issues. Since my phone fits the front zipper, I won’t need the front slips. I am already loving the look and size, not to mention the smell of the small Logan. She might fit over my winter coat… it’s gonna be hard to move out of her she is so perfect. Fits everything I carry daily including my iPad. I was worried I would have to play Tetris, but vertically I can see everything. Awesome awesome beautiful bag… L.J you really nailed it when you said small is NOT small

This is what I mean about the inside slip pockets protruding into the bag. Everything gets stuck on them when putting something in or taking them out. I’ll just move that stuff into the pouches
