Hi! I have been having Double Flap regret! I bought the Medium Caviar Black Double Flap and I am wishing I went bigger. Large or Jumbo. I bought during Covid and thought the smaller size would be great for going out/weddings, etc. but now wishing for the bigger one. Please convince me I made the right choice with the Medium... haha. For reference/I am 5'10" (for bag size purpose sake)

I know the feeling! It’s hard especially when there’s so much to love about both the medium and the jumbo. But you absolutely made the right choice at the time, and you should trust that. I think it’s very natural for our feelings about our bags to change over time. This regret will pass too and you will love the medium again. The jumbo isn’t a replacement for a medium and vice versa. They are completely different bags with different uses and looks, even in the same color. You chose the medium bc it fit all your needs best at the time. Could it be that you just want a jumbo now, and the feeling is just coming up as regret bc you might want the same color and hardware again? Bc it’s okay to have both the jumbo and the medium in black.

I’m 5’11 and love the jumbo for me. It doesn’t look like a really big bag on my frame. I feel like I usually go up one size from what the majority get for an equivalent look. However, I wanted a smaller option for going out and got that in the CCH. You already have the smaller bag and need the larger one.

Since larger bags haven’t been trendy for a while you can find good deals on preowned jumbos so I’d keep the medium and buy a preowned jumbo.

I’m somewhat in the same dilemma as you but reverse lol. I have a jumbo and wanting a medium. Thought of selling jumbo for the medium but love how spacious the jumbo is haha. However I also have a small classic flap but really also want to add a medium...perhaps someday.
Add a jumbo. I’m keeping mine. It’s nice to have this size not having to play Tetris. Plus there’s lots of jumbos at really great prices right now. Good Luck!

I first bought the jumbo size, but regretted that and sold it on eBay. I then went and bought the medium in black caviar with silver and am so happy. I have since added the beige claire with gold hardware. The medium is my favorite size. I can wear it with a nice dress to jeans - I love it.

In the three years and countless price increases later did you use it for its original intended purpose? Is it regret showing up so late or are you just wanting another bag and now all of a sudden the medium doesn’t look so great?

I personally love medium because I don’t always want to carry a lot of stuff. I immediately regretted buying the jumbo and got zero use out of it. I typically like big totes and learned quickly that I don’t like larger flap styles. I could only wear it double chained. Wearing the single chain just looked ridiculous on me (I’m short). It looks humongous against my frame.

I’m with the add the jumbo crew. If you haven’t tried one on I’d do so before you make that financial commitment and possibly not like that one also.

Another vote for adding a jumbo.

Medium is my favorite size, and the most classic size for CF, hence its other name 11.12, so I wouldn’t trade it for a jumbo.

Since the jumbo CF is going for less than half retail at the moment, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to pick one up from the resell market.

I love all sizes for different reasons, but I did sell all my jumbos and then bought all small CFs. I now am in a different stage of my life, I don’t have small children, and I hardly carry anything these days. But sometimes in certain situations, we all might need a little more space and need a bigger bag. I think small and jumbos have the best “look” but the medium/large might be the right size if you don’t want a too small or too big of a bag.

Thank you! I bought it during Covid when I wasn't going anywhere! By the time I got around to it, I was past the 30 days to exchange/return. I will have to look at preowned Jumbos and see if I can get one for cheaper. Have both would be nice... haha!
