Inspired by some chat in another thread… how much Hermès is too much in one outfit? Do you like to match everything or mix it up?

Speaking for myself, I think more than two H items is too much in one outfit for me. So if I’m carrying an H bag I could add some H cashmere or maybe my Cape Cod double tour, but never H shoes as well. And actually, I think H bag and H shoes in the one outfit is always too much on me. If I’m wearing my Bouncing sneakers the H bag is replaced by something else, usually BV, Loewe or The Row. And two twillies are too many for me too! I don’t do H RTW but for those who do, do you fully accessorize with H?

I do both. Sometimes I wear a lot of H; more often I mix it up.
my favorite outfit this season is chanel pink pants; courreges knit top; dior leopard jacket and H 32K Bordeaux, brushed phw by @docride. Base ball cap (looks like denim but it‘s fabric, Loro P)
Hermes tohu bohu CSGM; sellier baseball jacket; picotin; dior denim dress; birkenstock sneakers;
H sleeveless silk shirt, leather mini; 25B sellier gold;
all H for the Madison opening: toile swift jacket; leather mini; black cotton top; medor boots; 28K quadrille

Since I avoid most things with logos, I don’t pay attention to how many items from one brand I’m wearing at any one time. Sometimes I find certain shades of color work better with other items from the same brand and I’m more interested in color and style matches when putting together outfits rather than worrying about whether or not I am wearing one brand from head to toe. Unless items have logos, most people I meet will not know if I was wearing all H, or all Chanel, etc. so I’m not sure what the point is about not wearing more than two pieces of one brand together. What I avoid doing is wearing head to toe outfits from one brand from the same collection. I very rarely buy trendy items so I can shop my own closet and pair something I bought 20 years ago with something i bought this season. My SAs know to ask if it’s from this season if they like something I’m wearing and are thinking of looking for it in the stores. They all have learned I’m just as likely to say oh I bought this 10 years ago and not this season.

I follow my Mom’s rule of “1 less”… might sound silly, but it goes like this…. If I start with wearing an H hat, H scarf, H earrings, H watch, H belt, H bag, H sweater and H shoes…. then I would apply the “1 less” rule and would do away without the hat or scarf…. H is quiet luxury though, so only I know that I may be wearing too much H….

And my other rule is to have “only 1 anchor piece” that is recognizably H (e.g. bag or scarf or belt or shoes with H logo)… and therefore, I wouldn’t necessarily wear my Constance bag with Constance belt buckle or Paris loafer with H….and would only choose to wear one of them in one outfit…..if that makes sense….

ETA: one more of my “rules” :) “ no logo clash”…. Am ok with coordinating from different brands but would only wear 1 item with some visible logo in a single outfit - for example, I could wear my Fendi FF sweater or my Gucci GG shoes or my Consance H belt, but not in the same outfit :)

I LOVE YOUR STYLE! So effortlessly chic❤️

I don't worry about it unless it has a logo, an obvious "H", or a very well known Hermès print like Brides de Gala. Or maybe a Kelly turnlock - I doubt I'd wear a Kelly with jumping boots or Carlotta clogs.

With jewelry I don't worry at all, except for big H logos; I wear 2 CDC bracelets most days (but I wouldn't wear 2 Clic H, for instance).

I agree on the “1 anchor piece” principle. I avoid logos AMAP but I like the interest created by mixing labels and high/low

Yes, definitely one turnlock at a time!

I have worn a vintage JPG black leather/suede collarless jacket, white t-shirt,
H black trousers, black H shoes & a vintage black 35 Kelly & black croc CDC & it all
manages to work.. so we all can find the right balance.. & not sure all of it would be that recognizable
that's the best part at times about having H RTW just a few key pieces & lots of different looks
that some logos could work their way in( I'm not a logo gal in a manner of speaking)more minimalist
but would wear the H belt
