marmont or sylvie? help!

The Sylvie will be coming back next year, this time with the zip made smaller, as it was on the original. I would get the Marmont now as it's more versatile, still going strong (if you're into trends) and you won't have to be so careful with it as it'll be black. Next year perhaps take a look at the Syvie again (as I will too).
how did you get this information about a smaller zip? but the mini one doesn't have a zip to begin with right now? do you know what else will change?
@papertiger I am indecisive because although marmont is more versatile i do like the structure of the sylvie, in this way it feels more 'unique'

What I'm calling the 'zip' I mean the chain down the front. Don't know why I think of it as a zip.
The following picture is from Gucci's Cruise 2020 catwalk (from Gucci.com) and messed around by me so you can see the bag (they should be in stores before Christmas this year). Can you see how they've reduced the size of the chain? This is more true to the vintage original. There will be more sizes.
The current mini is still full of cuteness, and the large hw suits the mini structured frame IMO. It sounds as though you really like the cute Sylvie so I would go with your heart.
