Marmont Mini bag vs. Disco Advice Needed!

Hi ladies! New to this forum, as I'm normally on LV and Chanel. This will be my first Gucci purchase. I can see that there is a slight size difference between the two, and I am wondering about the merits of each bag. I will be purchasing the bag in red, as I have a "red bag void" in my closet. My only other cross body is a YSL Mini Y, and while I love that for evenings out, it is a bit too small for day treks. Any feedback is so helpful -- or feel free to direct me elsewhere in the forum. Both are similar shaped bags... have you considered trying them on in store? One difference would be that the Marmont has a chain/leather strap, while the Disco is pure leather, not sure if that matters to you or not.

My opinion is that the marmont can be dressed up for evening or down for day. The disco is firmly a day bag in my opinion. I also like the interest of the hardware on the marmont, something the disco is lacking IMO. I would go for the marmont. It is a lovely bag. I own it in the large nude

The most major difference is the hardware. If you are a minimalist, prefer a bag that's a little more subtle on the designer-front or prefer/wear silver/wg/rg jewellery then the SD gives you more options but if you like the bold brass-gild hardware go for the Marmont.

The Marmont Mini (at least the camera style, I can't speak for the flap style) is smaller than the Disco. If you are looking at something in a similar size to the Disco, then you would probably want to go with the Marmont Small.

I ordered both just two weeks ago (in different colors) and sent the Marmont Mini back because it was too small. This was my first Gucci handbag purchase, too, and the Disco is my first purchase outside of LV in years! It's such a charming bag and the perfect daytime alternative to my LV DE Eva. I'll most likely buy the Marmont Small later this year for a dressier look, but still comparable in size to the Disco. Good luck deciding, and looking forward to seeing your reveal!

Can you tell me the measurement of your Soho Disco? Because i ordered one time on Private Sales and it was too small.
(interesting, shall they do the Private Sales or this time not at all)
