IMG_0094.JPG IMG_0095.JPG Hi,
I just got the Marmont cardholder and the logo is tarnished. Is this normal or is it defective? Wondering if I should return it or not. I tried to capture it as best as I could in photos. Thanks for any feedback!

Hi, I'm curious: Did you return the card holder? Did Gucci exchange it for you? Thanks for your feedback.

I took it in, and they said it is supposed to be like that, and all of the bags and wallets in that collection have antiqued hardware. I looked at other ones and wallets and it is true, they did. I dont personally like that look, especially on the bigger wallets - to me it looks tarnished. I ended up keeping the cardholder because at least the hardware on it is small and not as noticeable

Wow, that's interesting to read. I thought Gucci's marmont hardware is called 'antique gold hardware' and not '(pre)-tarnished gold hardware'.
A few weeks ago I watched a useful video on youtube how you can remove the tarnishing stains on hardware of bags and SLGs. I for myself tried to remove some tarnishing from a one year old LV bag recently - with a Tiffany&Co. silver polishing cloth. It helped somehow but I was not 100% successful in removing the tarnished spots. But maybe you wanna give it a try?
