This is my first post so I hope what I’m posting is ok. My first MK bag arrived today, it is the mercer accordion XS bag with butterfly details, it’s beautiful!

The only problem is there is some white marks on the bag. I have tried removing it with a soft cloth but it’s not budging. It almost looks like it’s candle wax that’s dried or something. The retailer (fashionette) have been brilliant and have offered a discount but I would still like to get as much of the mark off as possible / cover it up. Does anyone have any ideas?

If (after looking at advice here and trying different things) you can't get it off, possibly since it's black you could try some black vinyl dye. My DH restores cars and he's used this stuff on bags of mine before (just small areas like edges of handles, etc.

Your bag is super gorgeous! Where did you find it? I never saw this at any of the stores.

I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post links on here but if you go to fashionette.co.uk and type in Michael kors butterfly it will come up :) it’s the mercer accordion Xs. I think it may be from a previous collection :)

I originally tried to order it from John Lewis (a big uk retailer) but they cancelled my order twice and then they sold out of the bag. Selfridge’s has also sold out of it so I paid with PayPal and took a chance with fashionette but I’m very impressed with them!

Thankyou! I will bear this in mind. Which one do you use if you don’t mind me asking :)

The white marks might be glue from packaging. Try rub lightly with a white eraser. The sa at the mk store showed me that

That sounds plausible! would that just be a white pencil eraser? :)
