So I used to work at a Coach retail store about a decade ago while in grad school (the first time), and I owned EVERYTHING Coach. This was back in the day when the Poppy collection (yikes) was huge and hobo-style leather bags were everywhere... and I adored the "Sophia" bag, which was an almost chevron-patterned satchel that came out around Christmas in 2010, and was near $600 - which looking back, was pretty wild for the brand at that time.
Over time I started investing in other brands (Louis Vuitton was my next step, and now I've been collecting Chanel, Gucci, YSL, etc.) and didn't really buy as much Coach... until this season!
I got the Market Tote in black leather for work recently - and want to say how incredibly impressed I am with the quality and style. It's stunning in person, with red leather interior (similar to the Prada Double Bag), and has the same dimensions as the Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM. It is an excellent work bag and the quality is superb. I wanted to share because I think overall, regardless of what designer (luxury or contemporary) is "hot" at the moment, there is much to be said about a brand who brings solid leather quality to the table every time, and at the right price point. I have rarely had issues with Coach products and am now going to make it a point to continue to invest in this brand, even if I've "graduated" to higher-end brands. Price point and name aside, Coach is always solid and I wanted to share how happy I was with this bag!
