Which department stores?

ETA: Never mind - I see Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus, at least. Looking at Maria's web site now. (mariaoliver.net) - looks like a Spanish brand.
Yes..Saks too. There seems to be some mystery about its founders. Here’s a quote from WWD article. “The new brand is private about its founders, saying only that they are linked to a European family who specializes in luxury products and has been in business for more than 100 years.”

Just curious if anyone knows anything about the bags? All of a sudden I’m seeing these bags on line in department stores. Haven’t seen in person. @papertiger @Christofle any knowledge?
I haven’t seen them yet in store.

I think this style looks quite nice! 874A043A-C492-442C-99AA-346F86B2FAD6.jpeg74392EC3-8496-4DCC-A4A9-D4B7851DC2EA.jpeg

They are probably an atelier that formerly did private label work who is branching out into retailing their own products. (Lots of workshops are doing this these days)

Only time will tell if the venture will survive the fickleness of the fashion world.

They certainly aren’t reinventing the wheel and some of their designs feel a bit derivative but I appreciate the clean lines.

The chain in that photo looks nice but maybe a bit too large for the small slim style of the bag. If it's not heavy, it should be easy to wear.
What are they charging for these bags?
Significantly less than I was expecting.

I wonder which grade of exotic leather they use. I tried zooming in on their stock photos especially on the Himalayan and the texture doesn’t appear to be as clean/smooth as I was expecting. Maybe grade 2 or 3 instead of grade 1?60F30723-91C5-47C3-B238-882C2A05F3AB.jpeg864D5374-5D9E-429E-816F-BE26F36F78DC.jpeg01BF3F01-991A-424E-932F-E4B5A5CBBE7C.jpeg

I ran across this brand at the January Bergdorf sale and picked up a crocodile pochette with gold chain and crossbody adjustable strap for like 30% of the original price.

This brand seems to have replaced Nancy Gonzales in their lineup. The quality of the skins is much superior to NG.

Oh nice! Any photos?

Oh nice! Is the chain strap heavy? Would love to see photos

I was going to inquire if anyone was familiar with this brand and found this thread. I just noticed the Maria Oliver bags on Neiman Marcus website and a different selection on Bergdorf Goodman site. Found one that piqued my interest and tempted to pull the trigger bc it says it's the only 1 left (and didn't see on any other site including the Maria Oliver site). But, I see several bags on E bay for significantly lower (like $671 vs. $1865 for same bag on BG). Of course I couldn't get that lucky and the one I like $3,000

Here's some info I found about the company online:
