Hi All!

I have been looking at purchasing a pair of Lurum shoes, but I cannot decide which color to purchase.

I am concerned about the satin getting dirty, so I am leaning toward black (like I need another pair of black shoes). These shoes come in so many fun colors, but do they look bad after several wears?

Also, any other thoughts about these shoes in general (size, comfort, etc)?

Can't wait to hear what you all have to say about them!

I finally purchased the Lurum shoes in black, and I love them. I went up half a size to accommodate my wide feet. They do not "give" as much since they are satin, but they are great evening shoes (they would be uncomfortable for me to wear all day).

Overall I love the Lurum heels! They are very comfortable but sizing can vary a bit all over the place imo. Some are larger, others TTS, and some too small. Also every season’s sizing can be a bit off too. So make sure you try on the exact ones you like, or if ordering online, make sure there’s a good return/exchange policy.
My other gripe about Lurums is the crystal buckle. Again depending on the artisan, some have the buckle placed a bit more lateral, which doesn’t lay well on the dorsum of your feet (and can as a result cause more friction). Esthetically speaking, when placed too lateral, it also causes the medial aspect of the buckle to flare out rather than lay flat which can poke at your other foot when walking. See pictures (grey ones flare out more, rather than stay flush medially compared to my pink ones).
Overall I love them and they’re super comfy. Black is always a classic but I would personally recommend to go for something brighter, the jewel tones are not that easy to stain and you can always get them dyed black later.
Good luck and have fun shopping!
