Hello there, looking for some pretty and comfier heels.
I am debating between the 3 pairs and needed some opinions?
-Which ones do you believe are the comfiest ? If it’s the begum: Satin or PVC ?
-Also, which one do you think are the most classic or most wearable?
Thanks for your feedback

The Manolo Last is most comfy for my foot. And, I think both Manolo and choo are more classic than the AM begum.
The choo comes in a variety of heights if that’s an issue too. But, im not the most practical person, and if I adored
the look of the AM begum most, I might just go with that. I don’t find choo comfy, but I have owned a number of pairs.

ETA: I am 55, and I think Manolo is the more mature style. But, I’ve also bought Manolo since 1998 or so, bc of the comfort factor.

Thank you for your help. I do own Hangisi (colorful ones) but after 2 pregnancies they have become small.. so sad as I love them so much! So I need new beautiful and comfy shoes with 2 small kids.
By the way, as you do own Manolo since a long time: I noticed that the satin shows some « lines » on the fabric. Is that normal?

I like the Lurum style in black or green but black would be the safe option as I do not have any black Manolo yet. do you find these to be comfier than the 70mm Hangisi ?

I don’t adore the AM Begum style yet, they look beautiful and edgy but still prefer to go for something more classic

Satin is cloth, PVC is plastic and patent leather is treated leather to basically become like plastic.
Therefore, satin will have the most give and breathability for your feet.

Personally I think Manolos and Jimmy Choos are more classic.

However, I am biased, I am not a fan of PVC shoes in general. I owned a pair years ago (before they were popular) and all they did was get dirty (which you can see because it’s clear) and make my feet sweat (not cute). The plastic will also yellow over time.
And I’m also not a fan of a single strap in the back of any heel, they always cut into my feet or slip off when I walk.

Creases and lines IMO are normal

I think the link below is a great review of lurum versus hangisi

the lurum can be more edgy if you are younger than me, and want to wear it with jeans
(if you are my age, and on the chunky side of slim, like I am, the lurum is not really the best look
but I have been known to eat my words, so I don’t really know lol)
the hangisi can be more Audrey Hepburn adorable if you are my age or older.
The hangisi looks a bit matronly styled with denim. This is my opinion only, and YMMV

ETA: agree with @lill_canele with respect to most things. But, particularly heels
(she wears them well), and with respect to her point re the sling back strap.

Oh thank you for your reply. yes, I had gianvito Rossi plexi and I remember dirt would accumulate in corners, which obviously didn’t look good…plus the plastic had a tendency to become smaller with time!
I do love the choo’s as well (but not the satin ones, only in patent), the patent looks very stiff VS the Dior J’adior slingback (the kitty heel ones are comfy to me). Need to try them on and decide

Thanks again for your reply. I’ve read the article and yes I like the fact that they are edgy but classic too.
Well I am turning 31 and I am on the chunky side after my pregnancies but I think I will like them with jeans/trousers or skirts/dresses.
I wish they would make this style with a bit of a lower heel, I can imagine 75mm would have been so much comfy!
Btw, dumb question but does this part of the crystals hit on the skin ?

Don’t remember (my mom has them and I borrowed them once). i think they had a stretch band under the jewels and made a bit of sound. . . Manolo also made one that was closer to the Choo with embellishment entirely on the band, but I don’t know what that one was called. I think the Lurum would be perfect for a 31 year old with jeans, trousers, or skirts :drinks:

MB are the most comfortable, Manolo cares about comfort and tries prototypes on real women (not 90lb teens that put them on for 10 minutes but working women and all day) before they go into production.

A shoe should be able to mould itself around an individual's foot.

Satin are leather-lined. With repeated wear the shoes should become more comfortable.
Patent leather are plasticised leather. Basically a natural material coated in a man-made (unbreathable) material, and they won't really give too much unless you wear them a lot.
PVC is just terrible. It yellows and dirties and hardens, scratches or can crack over time. May as well put heels on crocs (and at least they'd have holes in. Regardless, it won't give, mould or let your feet breath, Cinderella's glass slipper would be as (un)comfortable.

Aesthetically, I love the way the Choos look, MBs look very nice but they kind of take over an outfit, and the AM are pure novelty items - there are better made 'fancy' shoes out there

I did not particularly find the Jimmy Choo Bings comfortable when I tried them on. Would say the Lurums aren’t MBs MOST comfortable either, but they’re not bad. They are, however, stunning and glimmer under the light. Definitely size up half size from your usual size to avoid foot overhang in the back.

As I’ve lost some weight, the strap on the front is more comfortable but I would say that area may feel tight if your feet have a little more padding to them in this area.

Just took these photos now and can confirm the crystals do not touch the feet at that cross section area.

These look great casually/edgy or can be styled elegantly!

I have all 3 pairs so can give you my opinion. The lurum is the most comfortable, but the choos and AM are also comfortable to me. The Bing was my wedding shoe and I was able to wear them for the ceremony, reception without problem. I wore the AM at my baby shower while 6 months pregnant for hours without problem. I wore the lurum while out wine tasting and had no trips or falls. Both the lurum and bing are classic, the AM is not it is a trend shoe.
