Happy New Year!

I can’t decide between Maida or Montaigne. I heard horror stories about the turtledove neverfull turning yellow. Spoke with my SA who stated the issue had been corrected on the neverfull and she never heard it on the Maida. I’m now torn between these two bags. I can’t find much info about the Maida, but the Montaigne seems to be a keeper for most people. I must admit I’m not overly impressed with the LV empriente leather but I do love that bag and I absolutely love the turtledove color. I also love how the Montaigne has a non vachetta strap as well.

Thoughts?

Hi, my maida is in black but it’s a really great bag. It’s so versatile as you can wear it in multiple ways. I think it’s well made and looks the part. I was surprised how few I see out & about or mentioned on these pages. Dare I say I think compared to some bags you get a lot of bag for your money. I did do a lot of research before purchasing it and watched the few YouTube reviews that exist. I’m
The only negative I would say is when wearing it cross body, I did manage to scuff the corner a little (the first scratch is the deepest!) but luckily it’s buffed out so it’s perhaps not as carefree as some bags.
I do love it and look forward to using it more (especially for travel)

Thank you so much for the info. I think I've seen in it ONCE in black, and I can't find any wear/tear videos on YT, just unboxings and I get sick of influencers after a while so I have to quit looking at it. I was thinking of black but I haven't carried a solely black bag since I moved to SW FL in 2003 (weird I know). I would rarely wear it cross body. Thanks again!

I think the black looks super classy- yes you’re right there’s only a few unboxings on YouTube. None talk about it say a year on- that’s what I find so odd- it’s a fab bag but perhaps overlooked!
Now you have me revisiting black! I love ❤️ the interior of the black! My other concern was corner wear in the leather. I think part of it may be its overlooked due to lack of hype, if you know what I mean. How long have you had it?

Beginning of November. I don’t think the corners are an issue if you look after it but I was caught somewhere busy wearing it cross body and I must have knocked into someone/something. I just like the idea of a bag I could fit a little more in when flying but then utilise crossbody when with children, wear in crook of arm if dressed up etc. Its definitely worth a look at
