MADRID, SPAIN - Good for bags?

Im going to Madrid soon and wondered if its a good place to buy handbags? Are there any designers to look out for or any stores anyone would recommend? Any suggestions welcome

Loewe is based in Madrid, the bags are really beautiful especially the Amazona

Oh wow, Im guessing they cost loads? How much would a Loewe bag cost?

I'm not sure, the Amazona the model in the pic is carrying is sold in leather and the classic "golden" suede that was released around 1970 on the first Amazona bag. They also had a leather book and it could be ordered in many leather, croc and ostrich colors. They have other beautiful bags too.

I checked the Loewe online store (Spanish only) and bags range from around $500 and up.

Unfortunately, Think thats a bit steep! Was looking for a slightly cheaper brand!
