Madonna

Madonna posted a makeup-free selfie to Instagram on Sunday, looking so much like Game Of Thrones character Daenerys Targaryen even she realized as much.

'When Mother of Dragons can't get out of her pajamas!.....,,,,,,,,lazy Sunday!,' captioned the 58-year-old pop icon, using Daenerys' sobriquet.

She looked slightly blearily up at the camera, having slid on a lacy sleeveless black top and wound her blonde hair into a tight set of pigtails.

LOL!!! She wishes!

She has been making the most of her sun-kissed trip to Miami.

And flaunting her frame in another barely-there bikini, Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon slipped into a black two-piece for her latest jaunt by the sea with her rumoured beau and friends.

Although it wasn't just the starlet's bikini-clad figure that grabbed attention as she was seen sporting unshaven armpits while indulging in a spot of R&R.

Madonna Biopic 'Blonde Ambition' in the Works

gettyimages-541152811-87b52417-8a9b-4551-8bf6-e8c70187af64.jpg

Blonde Ambition, a Black List-winning screenplay about Madonna's early years as a recording artist in New York City, has been picked up by Universal.

The script, penned by Elyse Hollander, focuses on Madonna's life in the early Eighties as she works on her debut album while trying to break into a music industry Madonna herself has called misogynistic.

The film will also highlight the Material Girl balancing her burgeoning fame with her love life, the Hollywood Reporter writes.

While it's unclear whether the project is Madonna-approved, among Blonde Ambition's producers is Brett Ratner, who directed the singer's "Beautiful Stranger" video in 1999.

It's also unknown whether Universal has secured rights to use Madonna's early hits like "Holiday," "Lucky Star," "Borderline" and other Madonna-era hits.

Blonde Ambition is the second straight music-related script to win the Black List, Hollywood's annual breakdown of the best unproduced screenplays, and move into the development phase: Bubbles, a script about Michael Jackson's pet chimpanzee, is also in the works as a stop-motion film, with Dan Harmon producing and Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi on board to co-direct.

Previous Black List scripts that turned into Best Picture-winning or nominated films include Spotlight, The Revenant, Argo, American Hustle and more.

Madonna is Not Pleased With That Planned Madonna Movie

Madonna is poised to be the next musician to get the Hollywood biopic treatment, but, almost entirely unsurprisingly given the circumstances, she's none to happy about it.

The projected, titled Blond Ambition, first made headlines last year when it wound up at first place on the annual Black List, an influential ranking of the best un-produced scripts floating around Hollywood. Penned by screenwriter Elyse Hollander (a former assistant to director Alejandro González Iñárritu), the plot focused on a fictional telling of Madonna's early days in New York City and leads up the recording of her self-titled debut album. Though unknown at the time, Madonna was already a regular at some of the era's most legendary nightclubs and rubbing shoulders with era-defining visual artists like Jean-Michael Basquiat and Keith Haring.

It has all the makings of a great story, and Universal agreed. It recently picked up the project, according to The Hollywood Reporter (production companies RatPac Entertainment, Michael De Luca Productions and Bellvue Productions were already previously attached).

Madonna, however, seems to be a bit upset she's the one not telling it. She's the one who lived to tell after all.

An Instagram update makes her position clear.

"Nobody knows what I know and what I have seen," she wrote with a few emojis interspersed. "Only I can tell my story. Anyone else who tries is a charlatan and a fool. Looking for instant gratification without doing the work. This is a disease in our society."

Unfortunately for Madonna, as a public figure, there's not a lot she can do about the situation. Not anymore than Britney Spears, for example, could do about her recent unauthorized Lifetime biopic.

Madonna's disapproval also doesn't necessarily preclude the use of Madonna music in the film. Her former record label Warner Bros. still reportedly controls her early back catalogue (though, considering the story focuses on the time before the release of her first album, the story may or may not actually need rights to the music anyway).

Interestingly, this wouldn't be the first time someone made a movie about her life without permission. The Queen of Pop's story was also the basis for Fox's 1994 TV movie Madonna: Innocence Lost. PopMatter's review of the mostly forgotten film indicates it was a lurid affair that portrayed Madonna as a man (and woman)-eater unafraid to use her sexuality to get what she wants, and doesn't mind who she has to leave behind to get there. (Actress Terumi Matthews played the title role, and would reprise it in a Dennis Rodman TV biopic, but didn't go on to do much more after that.)

Presumably, Blond Ambition is a bit more sympathetic to Madonna than the Fox TV version, but it's not unsurprising that Madonna is displeased someone else is telling her story. In fact, given what we know about Madonna, she might be more horrified by the suggestion that the most interesting parts of that story are in her past.

Madonna Calls Biopic Scene ‘All Lies,’ But It Actually Happened

On Tuesday, it was announced that Universal had picked up “Blond Ambition,” a biopic about Madonna. It didn’t take long for the Material Girl to express herself and unleash a series of Instagrams in which she openly opposed the project.

First came the photo with a caption stating, “Nobody knows what I know and what I have seen. Only I can tell my story.”

Then, in a second post on the photo-sharing app (which has since been deleted), Madge went off on screenwriter Elyse Hollander, accusing her of getting her facts wrong. The image showed part of the script ― complete with a handwritten “WTF!” note ― which described the pop icon’s 1984 appearance on “American Bandstand” with Dick Clark.

Holland’s script had Madonna telling Clark, “I was born in Detroit, and I’m a famed high school dropout.”

3FA1B2FB00000578-4449222-image-m-2_1493240958438.jpg

In her caption, Madonna called out Hollander for the line, writing, “I was born in Bay City Not Detroit. And i did not drop out of high school in fact I went to University Of.Michigan.”

“Why would Universal Studios want to make a movie about me based on a script that is all lies??,” the rest of the caption said. “The Writer Elyse Hollander should write for the Tabloids. Anyone who supports this film is supporting lies and exploitation. Lies have no legs!!”

Madonna was, of course, born in Bay City, Michigan, and she didn’t drop out of high school. In fact, according to Biography.com, she graduated a semester early and was a straight-A student.

The only thing is, Hollander’s script borrows from that 1984 “American Bandstand” appearance, where the queen of pop definitely told Clark she was born in Detroit and was a high school dropout, even though those things aren’t true. It’s pretty much word-for-word what she said.

And how do we know this? Well, the internet is a wonderful place filled with old clips, like this one:

Is this why Madonna deleted the Instagram post ― because she realized she may have been a little too hung up on dissing the film to remember something she said in 1984? Perhaps. But the “Holiday” singer didn’t let up on her disdain for the project.

After deleting that second photo, Madonna posted the image below, writing in her caption, “Lies Have No Legs” with plenty of snake emojis.

It will be interesting to see what happens next.

Universal has yet to respond to Madonna’s comments, but HuffPost has reached out for comment and will update this post accordingly. A rep for Hollander declined to comment.

I think I remember watching that AB when I was a kid. She probably forgot. Who cares.

Anywho, did anyone see Strike A Pose? It is about her background dancers from the 1990 Blond Ambition Tour aka the guys that were in her Vogue video and Truth or Dare concert film.

It was on the Logo channel and was pretty good.

I just came across this article from November.

Warren Beatty Looks Back at Dating 'Phenomenon' Madonna and Why He Didn't Want to Be in Truth or Dare

Warren Beatty is opening up about his on and off screen love with Madonna.

“She’s a huge personality, diligent and disciplined and a spectacular dancer and performer,” he says in this week’s issue of PEOPLE. “She’s a phenomenon.”

The pair first connected during filming for Beatty’s 1991 comic-book movie, Dick Tracy, in which Madonna was cast as the sultry lounge singer Breathless Mahoney. “She was perfect for that part,” says Beatty, whose latest film, Rules Don’t Apply, hits theaters Nov. 23.

The relationship didn’t last much beyond the premiere of Dick Tracy, and their conflicting views on life in the public eye were evident in her Truth or Dare documentary — a project Beatty, 79, did not want to be a part of at first.

“When we were going [out] and she was making the documentary Truth or Dare, I said, ‘I don’t want to be in it.’ And she said, ‘Why would I want you in it?'” Beatty recalls. But the actor eventually conceded: “I said if I can have approval, I don’t want to inhibit you.”

In one scene in the documentary, Madonna declines to have a doctor examine her off-camera and Beatty comments that “she doesn’t want to live off-camera, much less talk.” Now, he says he found her decision to include the moment touching.

“I thought that was a kind gesture on her part because that captured how I felt,” he says. “I was kind of touched by that because I felt that I said the right thing.”

Madonna is looking army chic at the 2017 Met Gala!

The 58-year-old superstar is in attendance at this year’s Met Ball wearing a Moschino look. If you didn’t know, the gala is an annual event held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

This look is much more conservative than her look last year – which showed her bare butt!

This year’s Costume Institute Gala Benefit – celebrating the opening of the Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between exhibition – is co-chaired by Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, and designer Rei Kawakubo.

FYI: Madonna is wearing Moschino by Jeremy Scott.
