Hi there, I’ve been a coach fan for a little while now. I’m the proud owner of a humble collection of 4 beautiful Madison bags. After finally getting my driver’s license (!) and (finally) being pregnant I thought I deserved a present and I have set my mind on a ‘new’ bag, as bags are the only fashion items I still enjoy after 5 months of pregnancy :-)
I’ve been thinking about either a leather Madison Lindsey or a leather Madison Juliette bag. They’re roomy and I really like the extra outer zipped pocket. Lately I’ve also ‘discovered’ the Madison Julianne and I was wondering if there are more Madison bags out there with outer zipped pockets that I don’t know about. Any suggestions? And what are your opinions on Lindsey / Juliette / Julianne?

Congratulations on your driver's license and your pregnancy! Just think, in less than 16 years you'll be teaching someone else to drive!

There's Isabelle. I like it because you can wear it easily on your shoulder with the short strap. You can't do that with Juliette.

Isabelle is a great bag! One of my favorites. You can easily wear it over your shoulder and cross body when you need to be hands free - which you will need to be as a mom. Congrats on getting your license and on being pregnant!! Best of luck to you.

Thank you for your kind replies. I've been looking at the Isabelle as well, but then put her aside, because didn't find her as pretty...,silly me :-) I've been going quickly through the Isabelle thread in the Clubhouse section and I'm surprised at how many comments she gets about being lightweight. That could be a dealbreaker. How do you consider the weight of these bags?

Oopzz, I don't mean 'deal breaker', but the opposite! A light weight bag would be perfect!
I own the criss cross perforated Lindsey (no outer pocket there) and was hoping the 'normal' leather Lindsey would be lighter, as the criss cross one is rather heavy.

I own a Juliette, a Lindsey, and an Isabelle. Isabelle is definitely lighter and looks best crossbodied too, IMO, and I would have worn that one more often if I had had one when I had a baby. (It didn't come out till several years later) I like the slouchy aspect of it and how it looks when worn on the body.

Lindsey and Juliette are more true satchels for me, so they are not as 'practical' of a bag, but more for fashion and when I feel like wearing a satchel.

I own the Juliet, Lindsey and Isabel and I prefer the Isabel. It's lighter but still is roomy enough to carry my and my daughter's essentials. Lindsey is a close second because she's bigger and more weatherproof since she's patent leather. Juliet is too small and the handles are too short. Hth, and congrats!

Wow, I didn't expect so many voters for Isabelle. I'm really considering this bag now. She also appears to be better on available on Ebay then Juliette. And Juliette might indeed become too small too soon. Hmm, I'm giving myself some time to decide. As coach is quite scarce in Europe I don't get to see them very often in real life, so your opinions are much appreciated.

I didn't like Isabelle when I first saw it. I thought it was too rectangular. But it is the most comfortable bag to carry, it smells yummier than any of other my bags, the leather is scrumptious, and it slouches perfectly.

I love the look of Juliette but never got one because it is a satchel. Juliette replaced Sophia - at least with Sophia, the handle drop was long enough you could put her on your shoulder if necessary.

I have to confess I have all four styles:blushing:. Julianne is actually my favorite, but it is definitely the heaviest of the bags you like. I am going to vote for Isabelle also. I have one in parchment (and maybe one in magenta:)) - it is light, fun, and easy to carry - and she holds a lot. I do use a purse organizer in all 4 bags

my magenta Isabelle is a maybe too - my daughter "borrowed" it!

I don't know if this is a Madison bag, but what about the Alexandra? It has the outer zip pocket you mention and is very functional with straps for satchel carry or shoulder, and the longer strap.

Thank's everybody! So now I've ruled Juliette out, she would indeed be too small. I thought she would be a handy crossbody bag and somewhat bigger then Sophia, but I guess that's not really the case. Also would have liked her in a fun color like bright yellow or light blue or a dark chocolate brown, but I don't think she ever came in those colors. I still like the look of Lindsey and Julianne for a classy black bag, but they might not be versatile enough. I like that they come in brass on black, but to my surprise there are some Isabelle available with brass on black as well (it's all just an amazing discovery, hihi). I'll probably wait a few weeks before deciding (babyroom interior comes first) and then definitely let you know!

The Juliette is actually roomier than you would expect. I'm always surprised by how much I can fit in it. And I love my Isabelle too. Easy no fuss bag.
