I got a notification that the LV x YK speedy nano was available online and just hit buy without thinking too much.

It’s soo cute and it fits the essentials but for some reason I am just not in love with it.
I do wish it was the speedy 20 size and I find mine has more blue dots than other colors.

But it’s was a bit hard to get and I think will be a collectors piece in the future so I’m just not sure if I should return.

It’s a lot of money for a bag I don’t love though.

Anyone give me their 2 cents on this?

I bought 2 of the Kusama alma's, red and yellow. I plan to sell one at a later time, I don't think you can go wrong with a limited edition. But I plan to use both. If I didn't want them I probably would have returned them.

Thanks Jessica. I also think they can be sold easily if I wanted to later on.
I guess I’m just underwhelmed by it haha.

I think if you don’t love it then if it was me personally I would return. It’s a lot of money to not love the bag even though it was htg. I think you have to love the bag first whether it is htf or limited edition. Just because it’s htf doesn’t mean everyone will love it and then to buy something you don’t love and then selling it’s a lot of trouble to go too. You should buy a bag you love and want to use and if years later down the track you get tired or bored of it then you can sell. Hope that makes sense. I always buy the bag I love and that makes my heart sing!

Agree. My sincerest advice:
  1. Only buy a bag because you love it and you will use it.
  2. Only sell a bag once you've had many years with it. Otherwise, short term transaction never bodes well for the seller. A reputable reseller will lowball you like crazy.
  3. You will lose money in the short run. But MAY be able to make some money if the item stands the test of time and has garnered sufficient popularity. No one ever knows which ones will be hits and which will be misses.
If I were you, I'd return it because it is a lot of money. Put the proceeds into something else you love later on. Happy shopping, and Happy Valentine's Day!

+1
It is a lottery. The only aspect helping it to hold its value better is the fact that it is Monogram Canvas based.
But even though Vuitton plays its games with this collection, it is produced in huge quantities and is widely available in reality. Some styles sell faster but believe me, they make more. They released hundreds of styles, and this "limited" collection spans out for 6-7 months with the 2 waves. This is so much bigger than most seasonal runs, like the original Kusama. Which also took years to click on the secondary market to become a big hit.

If you keep it now, you'll regret it. If you return, you might have a bit of regret in the far future. But by then, there will be 6 more collections already out that you'll love, so...

If you're not loving it, then I would definitely return. It is a lot of money to spend on a bag that you are not in love with, and may or may not use. Definitely return. Maybe buy something else.

I did see a YK pocket organizer on a reseller site already and it was under retail so if you plan on keeping it for resale , you probably won’t get retail for it….most items are still available on the website…

+1 to return. If your don't love it, I'd definitely return! I keep hearing from different bloggers that these will be collectors pieces, but I'm somewhat skeptical. Most of the items are still available online or can be ordered from stores. From what I've seen if a limited collection is popular it gets sold out in a matter of hours. Possibly it's due to the economy, but in my opinion it's the aesthetics of this collection :noworry:
I once kept a piece I wasn't so sure about and I regret it, I wish I could use that money for a different piece.

I saw one at my local boutique today. Yes, I went shopping today. Chanel and LV.

The Kusama dots nano speedy is REALLY tiny and the dots a bit busy proportion-wise. I think from this collection, I'm most fond of the smaller size OnTheGo. To me, it's the prettiest of them all. Somehow the dots and the size of the bag compliment each other really nicely. I would wear it mostly as a handheld though or use my Pochette Métis strap.
