LV vs Prada

I want to hear non biased opinions. So this thread is not going to be posted on LV or Prada forum.
I have these two bags on my mind. I’m surprised I might want to splurge on one of them as a first luxury bag purchase when I do have my heart set on LV Christopher PM backpack.

I love the look of both bags.
I have tried on the LV Cabas Light. I honestly thought it too big and maybe cannot rock a simple tote bag. It definitely had no structure or shape. I should have listen to the SA to keep the stuffing inside to give it some shape. I find myself thinking I should try it on again to get a second feel. I feel the same initially with the LV Christopher backpack. I thought it was too big on me but the second time when I tried it on, I felt the size is fine on me and definitely wanted it. LOL
And I still cannot I get the LV Cabas Light tote off my mind. I can’t get over it. I think a second time trying it on will give me positive opinion on me like how it was with the LV backpack.

Then I saw this Prada Backpack online. I haven’t got to look at in person since it not in stock in neither two closest Prada store near me. I think I might have to get my SA to order it for me to see it. But I love the look of the concept of being a tote and backpack. And I cannot get enough of the yummy smooth soft leather. Usually I find Prada very boring with saffiano leather. Honestly this smooth leather kinda is the main attractive point for me.
I’m honestly cannot decide what I want now.

What I like about LV Cabas Light:
Casual relaxed tote bag
Dark Monogram Print
Canvas is durable
Comes with a removable pouch.

Con:
I felt it was very large on me for now.
Not much structure or shape.
It honestly look good when stuffed just like it in picture and when I saw it on display.


What I like about the Prada backpack:
Smooth soft smooshy looking leather
Casual vibe



Cons:
Backpack straps are not entirely removable.

They both look very similar, so I'd start to judge based on expected use - indoor/outdoor (canvas perhaps better for outdoor, leather for work). I'd also consider the brand itself and how their items wear long-term; Prada quality is just not as solid as LV. I'd probably lean more towards LV - the Prada looks more stylish but the LV would likely be more functional long-term - imo

I’ve heard Prada has some bad hiccups regarding their quality of goods.

But I recently bought a key holder from Prada. I haven’t had any issue yet either the item. However I think maybe it too compact for a 6 key holder if it can’t close shut with my essential cards. Where to LV version, I can close it at ease with my essential cards. That’s my only complaint. lol

I have tons of LV slgs...and they are definitely holding up well. So I’m not to concern about LV quality. I’ve only had inquire one product from LV feeling like this item I bought was not good quality. That was it.
